In the third of our current run of Castlevania series podcasts, we arrive at the 1988 arcade game, Haunted Castle. Although the title began its development as an unrelated action horror game, Konami saw the potential of cashing in on the success of the Famicom and MSX series, and so released it as Akumajō Dracula.
