Deceptively wholesome dating sim by way of visual novel, Cane and Rinse covers some less well trodden genre ground in this 'very special episode' of the podcast. Leon, Jon, Leah and guest Collin Miller go through all of the available options in Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator and return with their findings and red flags. We also have a modest amount of correspondence and Three Word Reviews from the faithful community as we examine Game Grumps' debut title.Music featured in this podcast:1. Carmencita by Jesse Cale2. Like Leon, this isn't a genre I'm invested in. But this was a great listen and I wanna play this now. Collin was also a well chosen guest, between him and Jon we had some interesting perspectives.

While I probably won't be playing this(mostly a time thing, but hearing about it maybe I should), and I will precede my comment with the fact that I don't want this to turn into "raisinbman's therapy session", I was glad to hear that this is a dating sim that is earnest in that fact. I like dating sims, and when those features are in games I end up looking forward to them quite a bit. Unfortunately as some on the podcast said, many are just for the horny audience(no shade, as I'm sure there's money there), or can't resist playing with the concept of dating sim(IE: breaking the 4th wall or suddenly killing your love interest as an easy "end" to the plot). -raisinbman

Excellent epsiode that represents why I love cane and rinse. Insightful discussion and critique, but most importantly a human element about what we bring to games, and what we take from them. I appreciated the candour of those on this show
