Personally after being a bit disappointed by RE7 I pledged to myself I wouldn’t buy RE8 and for once I kept that promise to myself. But, would you know my daughter picked up RE8 as a Christmas gift that year. I didn’t have the heart to tell her I didn’t want it, so I sucked it up and played some RE8 and though I still question when RE became a creature feature instead of being about zombies and shady pharmaceutical company, but I had a blast playing it. Yeah RE8 is DUMB but it’s a lot of fun. Ultimately I’m glad I got it. I would recommend this game to people who are up for some dumb fun. Great episode as always gang!

Josh's intonation when he says "We gotta talk about the baby. The baby is very scary" at about 1 hour 34 was incredible. Great episode!

As someone who hasn't played RE since 4 on the Gamecube, the last two episodes have really made me think I should check out the series again... I just don't know where they'd fit into my backlog at this point, especially after picking up the recent Baldur's Gate/Wrath of the Righteous/Neverwinter Nights/Icewind Dale Humble Bundle (Sure, I've played some of them before, but not the Enhanced Editions and it's been over a decade). If I do get to them, should I start with 7 or this one?

Steven Cookson

Pick up 7 for sure, it's the best game in the series since 4 and is superior to Village. You can probably get the Gold edition very cheap these days, and the extra DLC is worth your time. Get Village when the special edition comes out with the DLC. The good thing about these games is you can finish each one in a weekend, and there's plenty of replay value if you want it.

I really like Resident Evil Village. Thanks for a great episode.

Loved the game (seven times and counting), loved the recent DLC, loved the podcast! Thanks guys!
