Here's where you can contribute your thoughts and opinions for Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Astro's Playroom for potential inclusion in the forthcoming podcast.A friendly reminder that where the feedback for the podcast is concerned, we love it - but keeping it brief is appreciated. We do want to include a breadth of opinions where appropriate, but no-one wants a discussion podcast that’s mostly reading out essays. Better to save yourself time and cut to the chase if you can.

Astro’s Playroom was such a magical way to start my PS5 journey. Playing it now takes me right back to that day waiting eagerly for my console (which came a day late). The game looks so lovely and really showed what the Dual Sense could be capable of. Astro controls perfectly and the game is just a joy to play. Hope we get a longer game at some point in the future but I’ll always return to this little gem again and again.

Every pre-installed game I’ve played in the past has been poor; either way past it’s sell by date, poorly made or just on the system to say that it has “x games included”. To say that my expectations of Astro’s Playroom were low would be a big understatement. The difference between what I was expecting and what I found was huge. Astro controls perfectly, so responsive and intuitive. The game does a great job of introducing the controller and it’s functions to the player, in a really fun and engaging way. The graphics, platforming and music are beautiful - “I’m your GPU” is a real ear worm ! When I realised the game hub was the inside of the PS5 I laughed out loud; in fact the whole time I was playing I had a huge grin plastered over my face. Such a blast of nostalgia when getting to the end of an area and realising the final space was the Home Screen of previous PlayStation generations. This game is a love letter to PlayStation in the guise of great platformjng and wonderful design. I’ve never been happier to have my expectations proven completely wrong!

Astro’s Playroom was the first game my five year old son properly understood and learnt to play. I’d go into the living room and be surprised to see that he’d snuck in and switched on the PS5 and had found a hidden artefact or jigsaw piece that I’d somehow failed to locate. The fact that he picked this game up so easily is undoubtably testament to the excellent, intuitive controls and level design. For this reason I will always love this game. It’s not the most complex or lengthy experience, but it is an outstanding introduction to the PS5, and for some, gaming in general.
