Here's where you can contribute your thoughts and opinions for the F-Zero series for potential inclusion in the forthcoming podcast.A friendly reminder that where the feedback for the podcast is concerned, we love it - but keeping it brief is appreciated. We do want to include a breadth of opinions where appropriate, but no-one wants a discussion podcast that’s mostly reading out essays. Better to save yourself time and cut to the chase if you can.

Three word review: 99's my favourite!

Never tried it, never will. I am happy with Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing.

F-Zero X has always been one of my favorite racing games. It really captured the feeling of speed, racing at 1000 km/h along with one of my favorite soundtracks in all of video games. Also, the racers and overall in-game universe have extremely goofy lore if you take some time to go wiki diving. YOU GOT BOOST POWER!

I remember picking this up with our SNES in the launch window. It was so good! It was really hard for me at the time, but my older brother was really good at it and I'd watch him play the later levels. The thing that stands out most to me is the music. So many great 16 bit tunes. I dabbled in the later games but they didn't grab me in the same way.

I hadn’t played F-Zero GX on GameCube until nearly 20 years after its release. It is perhaps, not only the most challenging, yet extraordinary racing games I’ve ever played. This game is why there is no new version. It’s practically perfect in every way.

We had a second-hand copy of F-Zero on the SNES, and loved it. While Super Mario Kart was no slog, it happily bobs along compared to the sheer speed of F-Zero, and the constant struggle to keep control of your vehicle. I loved the controls, being able to use the shoulder buttons to swerve instead or in addition to turning with the d-pad. I also remember realizing, amazed, that I could control the length of jumps mid-air with up/down. But it was hard: while I could finish Knight League, I’m not sure I ever beat Queen League, and certainly not King league. F-Zero was great, but it was held back by the lack of multiplayer: my brother and I spent countless hours battling in Super Mario Kart, which we never could with F-Zero. Finally, if I think of F-Zero, the first thing that comes to my memory is speed of a different kind: slotting the cartridge in, switching the console on and BAM, the title screen is already there. Just turning on a modern TV takes longer than that…

I've dabbled with the series over the years, but I can't stop playing 99! Admittedly I'm not very good, but have managed to score a Knight League GP win. The stars and planets must have aligned that day. Although my relationship with red bumpers seems irreparable, it won't stop me chasing another GP win to add to my trophy cabinet.
