Perfect timing. I have had the worst week and today has topped the others, I will look forward to listening when I eventually get home!

Whilst there aren't digital key resellers for many PSN games, you can buy PSN credit at a discount - shopto.net often has it for 10-15% off if interested Jay for future reference

I love Demons Souls, not made it round to the remake yet. However, the world tendency system is ludicrous, punishing and hardly explained to the player at all.

Loved the conversation about BG3, I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Yeah, I must admit I finished the original on PS3 without even really knowing about it. It wasn't until I eventually read up about it that I even began to understand it!

That episode of Blue Eye Samurai with the bunraku/brothel fight/farm flashback is something else. Probably one of my favorite episodes of anything this year. Absolutely gorgeous.

Just wanted to drop a note and say I really enjoyed listening to issue 28 of the Cane and Rinse show this week! Great discussion on Metal Gear Solid, and three hours long too! I'll be having a play through of the original two MSX games at some point too so will have to give that show a listen when I get to it.

You only briefly touched on Daredevil and the shake up after Marvel not being happy with how the series was going but I just wanted to add some details. I'm not sure how much of the original Daredevil crew have been brought back but the new showrunner was the shortener on The Punisher series and the 2 directors that have been brought in are Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. They have recently worked with Marvel on a couple episodes of Moon Knight and also directed most of Loki season 2 which may excite people enough but I already knew of them from their start as writer/directors of indie films which are specifically along the lines of psychological horror. If you haven't seen or heard of any they are Resolution (2012), Spring (2014), The Endless (2017) which is a pseudo-sequel to Resolution, Synchronic (2019) and Something in the Dirt (2022). I would highly recommend Resolution, The Endless and Something in the Dirt. The rest are also good just I personally don't think they reach the level of these 3.

I actually took Jay's advice and checked out the new Godzilla on imax (at a Toho cinema too, for added authenticity). It think it's a testament to the great film making that even me with the most basic of Japanese language knowledge was able to keep up with the story. From a visual point of view, it's stellar. The film wastes no time getting the big guy on the screen and first big city attack is incredibly powerful. As with Shin Godzilla, it makes its titular character a terrifying force of nature and goes to great length to show the devastation and impact on regular people, something a lot of modern American blockbusters tend to neglect. It's a great film, watch it when you get the chance, everyone.

When Jay mentioned Onimusha and Blue eyes samurai I grinned, those two shows have been great. Honestly the past couple of months have seen quite a few entertaining shows pop up both from anime to live action. As far as Netflix goes I’d also recommend Captain Laserhawk, which is an animated Far cry blood dragon spin off. Hope you enjoyed your visit to Mikhail’s house, Leon. And I can’t wait to hear what kind of trouble Jay gets into when he plays more Baldurs gate 3.

Well that's a fitting description as I'm currently wading through Disco Elysium.
