I'm only on Yakuza 4 in my big playthrough of the series, and annoyingly I'd managed to avoid spoilers of the ending to this game for several years until they announced the recent Gaiden game and saw him pop up in the trailer and heard what the premise for the story was. I will listen to this show probably in about two years 😆

I have to say Yakuza is the only series of Cane and Rinse podcasts I am skipping because I have no interest to delve into this series and the idea of what feels like a never ending saga of super cool crime dudes is very daunting. But I am happy for those who like this series.

I really enjoyed Yakuza 6 and felt like it was a good conclusion for the “Kiryu plot” of Yakuza. Having said that I did kinda miss the other characters from 5 even though I absolutely understand that they didn’t want to take away from the main plot. I really enjoyed the secret of onomichi and particularly the people that were protecting it. The gameplay was solid but that is always true in all the mainline games of the series. Bummer to hear that Leon stepped out but I’m always happy to listen to these 3 wonderful people do hosting duties.

I also meant to say I love the lil Lo and Big Lo comments! 😂😂 Too dang funny! I snort laughed in public at my job when listening to this.
