So. The short story is that the default way we make new "purchase pickers" creates products without quality values. But when the game wants to Serve food, the individual servings get their quality value from the main item. Without those values, the game refuses to serve the item. Lot51 has a special method for making a purchase picker that has the ability to easily define the item quality! So the mod had to be remade in this way, instead.

The LONG STORY is...actually a really interesting insight (I mean, I think) into how modding can go wrong and how complex stuff can be under the hood that I've documented as its own post for those curious.

Anyway, the mod has been updated to use this new method, and in the process, received some new features!

-Nectar is now purchased with a Quality. Currently, all normal nectar is normal quality and all Occult nectar is Outstanding Quality. I do not have plans to add more variety at the moment.

-As a result, nectars purchased this way can be served! Hooray!

-All nectar, special and otherwise, is found in one menu, instead of two separate interactions. The special nectar simply won't show if your sim is not eligible to buy it.

-Nectar stock is now limited. It will reset after a few days, but each variety has limited stock with the special nectar variety capping out at 2 bottles per restock! Restock time is about 3 days.

-When Nectar is out of stock, it will feature a cute little icon!

-Nectar still arrives "Not Aged" so that the player can opt to buy Nectar as an investment. You can buy the Nectar and age it yourself to make a profit. Note that when Nectar is purchased it immediately depreciates in value, and you have to age it to get it back up to profitable. Aging it completely will give you a generous profit!

-There is now an additional version that skips the occult tests entirely and makes Nectar available for everyone.

DISCLAIMER
Due to the way the game works, when your sim becomes an associated occult or earns the Nectar Know-It-All trait, the picker may not immediately recognize their eligibility to buy special Nectar. This is not a mod error or a Core Library error, it's just how things are. You should be able to fix this by traveling or reloading the game.
