Electrocution - Waffle Explains Some Of It I guess (Patreon)

I wasn't gonna do this one but I'm looking into a mod (NO PROMISES WHATSOEVER) and needed to understand how Electrocution actually works, so I may as well post it here.
The process goes as follows:
Sim is Electrocuted if they repair an item while certain conditions are met. Repairing can increase the electrocution commodity periodically, depending on Sim mood, traits, etc.
Electrocution occurs as a death if the hidden Electrocution Death commodity maxes out.
The commodity is maxed out when electrocution happens if the Sim has the Electrocution Warning buff. This is guaranteed.
If they do NOT have that buff, they get it when their commodity while repairing reaches 100? I think? This commodity increases over time while repairing with a bad mood, for example.
The buff adds 75 to the Electrocution Death commodity- Or lower, depending on the Sim's traits.
If the Sim has a variety of additional traits, they may get an additional chunk of commodity added. Clumsy Sims get an extra 15.
If the Sim is ALSO angry or dazed, they get an ADDITIONAL chunk.
The values are such that any extra electrocution while having the warning buff is a guaranteed kill (excepting for traits that block adding these things like The Knack). The default value is -50. This means that a Sim gets electrocuted, they are set to +25, and then can get extras from other traits, which makes the max easier to reach the next time they try to repair, unless they take a break first to let their values lower behind the scenes.
The buff has an additional loot for Sims with the Chased by Death trait, which gives them a warning that it's more important for them to be careful.
This is because the chased by death trait buff makes the electrocution commodity decay at half speed, but also makes it increase at 2.8x speed. So sims recover more slowly from the first electrocution, and ALL repair attempts increase the speed of the commodity building while conditions are met to do so.
Chased by Death has two other buffs- Thin ice Inspired and Thin Ice scared. Inspired improves things SIGNIFICANTLY faster. Scared makes them WORSE faster.
Essentially-Sims have an electrocution motive that raises while repairing under certain conditions
If it maxes out they get the warning buff and the motive is set to a higher-than-normal-on-starting-a-repair value
If they continue trying to repair, the increases can fill the motive again and they will be guaranteed to die from it.
Increases are affected by a lot of factors, but mostly traits and even the handiness skill level in one instance.
It's actually so frickin' complicated behind the scenes. I think every individual type of electronic item even raises the value at a different rate, and some of them- like the dishwasher- might increase it even faster because of the added element of water being involved (not in a "If sim is standing in water" way, but just the tuning makes it faster to account for "this is a wet activity, in theory"). I didn't actually check. I am overwhelmed lol
