Waffle's Building Playlist (Patreon)

This is a 300+ Song, over 24 hours long playlist of hand-picked themes that carry the vibe of "City Builder" music.

It includes music from The Sims 1/2/3/4, Cities Skylines 1/2, Planet Coaster 1/2, SimCity 2000/3000/4/5, and a mishmash of other sources such as music that would play on The Weather Channel in the 90s, the Master Planned Music Royalty Free Albums by City Planner Plays, and even three- yes, three- renditions of the ultra mega super boss battle theme Megalovania from Undertale. All appropriate to the Sims and SimCity vibe of musical background noise.

Of the (at time of writing) 323 songs on this playlist, exactly one features any lyrics, and it's Come With Me by Tania Maria. Everything else is, at most, ambient noise with music.

This playlist is the result of- and I hate that I can say this- 30 years of playing City Building and similar games. I'm fairly confident that 99% of songs here fit right into the vibe and a few are a bit questionable but "close enough". It's very, very jazzy, but there's a good blend of genres. I especially love how well the music from Tinykin slots in as a SimCity 5 "Night Music" or a Sims 2 Night Life adjacent style. I tried to cover a lot of "Genres" of this kind of thing. Some are more Sims 1, some are more Sims 3, some are more Rimworld (BTW, this playlist is surprisingly good for Rimworld!).

If you're tired of The Sims 4's music, playing any sort of game where this vibe makes sense but has gotten a bit repetitive, or suffering malaise from this bug where the awful lullaby song from Growing Together plays all the time, give it a try!

I have added this playlist as a Miscellaneous Resource on my Master Mod List/Master Waffle Explains It All List!
