Modding is Labor (Patreon)
Content
I just want to remind people, modding is labor.
I just spent 2 hours doing math and in-game testing to verify how tuning works and write down values for reference.
The *entire* time, I was operating with one value mistakenly written down wrong, due to misunderstanding my own thought process when tracking numbers. As a result, I would go in-game to test with mod, and test without mod, and do the math each time, and for some reason come out with an issue every single time. It'd seem like I got it right, but then it was wrong! Something would seem wrong, but I had it right!
One number.
One single number was wrong, while I was editing two different Patreon posts and one separate spreadsheet. And it confused absolutely everything.
I won't get that time back!
It was my mistake, but I'm tired. I haven't had more than one day off in a row in a month. This is how I'm choosing to spend this day off. And it is genuinely a form of labor.
Appreciate your local modders!
(Anyway, I updated my Nectar Making Mechanics post, because a bunch of the information had gotten confused along the way...)
