I learned this information making a mod that overhauls Nectar entirely, which you can find HERE! This project aims to make Nectar a bit more touchy with value, and make turning a hefty profit require more ingredients and more production of Nectar bottles- I'm sure you can see why!

This post was a combined effort of several hours of looking at numbers and testing in-game.

-Nectar Value DOES NOT rely on the value of produce used. It is irrelevant.

-Nectar Quality DOES rely on the QUALITY of produce used. If you use Normal produce, you get Normal quality.

-Every Nectar Type has a Base Value, that is unchanging, regardless of produce used.

-The Base Value is then multiplied in different ways, based on your Skill Level and how Aged it is (Not Aged, Lightly Aged, Finely Aged).

-Aging is faster in Storage (25% faster)

-Aging is faster in a Basement (An additional 10% faster)

-Stored nectar DOES contribute to your household lot taxes.

-A bottle is already lightly aged the second you produce it when at Level 5, doubling its base value.

-Finely Aged Nectar has a 2000% value increase over the base value

-The Marketable trait gives an additional 3x Value

-Nectar can be sold to Roberto Crinkletop for extra money, about 25% more!

-Open nectar has its value reduced to 90% of whatever the final calculation is

-The value increases on a multiplicative curve with each level of Nectar Making, which only caps out at Level 5. At level 5, Nectar is worth 1.3x as much.

-Nectar made with "Any Fruit" or "Any Berry" that isn't one of the other 12 Nectar Types is worth 100 Simoleons Base Value, REGARDLESS of the fruit used.

However, the final value of the nectar- at max quality and fully aged- is still substantial profit with only 3 fruit, in most cases. It'll get a 2000% value increase, a 1.5x value increase for max quality, and a 30% value increase for Level 5- which totals 3,900 Simoleons. If your ingredients are worth more than 3,900 Simoleons, don't use them for Nectar!

Wild Grass- 2,145
Valerian- 3,315
Plasma- 4,290
Any Berry- 3,900
Any Fruit- 3,900
Energy- 3,705

Potato- 2,730
Apple- 2,145
Moonpetal- 5,850

SO HERE'S HOW TO CALCULATE THE FINAL MAX VALUE OF ANY GIVEN NECTAR. Note that these numbers are approximations as there's decimals taken into account in the background.

BASE Value x Outstanding Value x Skill Value

Outstanding Value = 1.5x
Level 5 Skill value = 1.3x
Finely Aged value = 20x

"Any Fruit" = 100

100 x 1.5 x 1.3 x 20 = 3,900

3,900 / 100 = 39

Ergo, 39 x Base Normal Value = Value at MAX Level, MAX quality, and MAX aged.

If your sim has the Marketable trait, multiply these values by 3x (wow).

Aging

Aging takes 13.8 Days on ground level, when not in storage.

When in Storage, Aging takes 11.1 days.

When just in a Basement, Aging takes 12.6 days.

When in Storage and a Basement, Aging takes 10.1 days.

Aging is on a scale of 0-100, calculated invisibly in the background.

Not Aged: 0-11
Lightly Aged: 11-43
Moderately Aged: 43-49
Finely Aged: 99-100

AGING IS IMPROVED THE SECOND THE BOTTLE IS CRAFTED AT HIGHER LEVELS. At Level 5, a bottle is already Lightly Aged the second you make it, doubling its value immediately. Only one age multiplier is ever happening at a time.

Aging to the second stage takes a lot less time than aging to the final stage- about 43% of the total time- but I'm only keeping track of Finely Aged and Max Quality Nectar in all these calculations.

Effects

Different types of Nectar have different Effects. The effects are stronger when Nectar is aged. I have not yet looked into this.

IMPORTANT NOTE: TESTING THIS IS VERY HARD. SOMETIMES THE NECTAR DOESN'T COME OUT OUTSTANDING QUALITY- AND WHEN CHEATING THE QUALITY THE VALUE DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE TO REFLECT IT IN-GAME. THE VALUES LISTED HERE ARE JUST PURE MATH.
