Coming off his incredible performance in THE CLONE WARS “Bad Batch” arc, Dee Bradley Baker joins us to talk about acting in the great STAR WARS animated series. From Captain Rex to Commander Cody, Dee has voiced all of the Clone Troopers and he has some great stories to tell. Daisy Ridley recently spoke about how fan reaction has changed since THE FORCE AWAKENS, how online fan reaction has hyper-charged criticism, and how she made the choice to turn away from social media. Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best was shooting-from-the-hip when discussing the new iterations of Star Wars not being about the kids anymore. We have audio highlights from both actors which fire up some very interesting commentary and opinions. Plus, conversation about Ahmed’s upcoming Jedi Temple Challenge Disney+ series, Jar Jar on Kenobi rumors, Listener Feedback, rants about critics of fandom and more.

Loved the interview with Dee. He is so talented. How the heck does he make those crazy creature noises??

I wanted to weigh in on the whole fan service/ entitlement thing quick... When it comes to big budget franchises, shouldn’t the fans be the most important litmus test? Aren’t we the reason these films are made? It’s simple customer service, and the customer is always right, amiright? Sonic the Hedgehog was actually successful because they listened to the fans. Marvel is successful because they stick to what works. This seems so straightforward to me. Why can’t Lucasfilm (outside of Filoni and Favreau) and Hollywood media get this and roll with it?

My favorite RFR episodes sound like a happy hour. The rougher ones have more in common with those daily Coronavirus Task Force Meetings. First half this week was the former. The second half the latter.

Yeah. I am really hoping for the adult beverage series of Patron episodes. 🍻🥃🍺🍸

Great episode as always! Regarding the caller asking to debate the guys on the merits of TLJ. Although very polite balanced message, I think the biggest issues with TLJ are perfectly presented... If you have to be convinced or taught how to interpret and enjoy Star Wars, it’s not being made correctly. Star Wars is beautiful, universal and simple, good vs Evil, love vs hate. Heroes and villains. I don’t want Meta Star Wars. Hey if you love the ST then I’m very happy for you, but people have to accept their position on it and enjoy it on a personal level. Secondly the worst thing you can ever say is “I can show you why it’s good, MAYBE IT WENT OVER YOUR HEAD”. Yep saying someone isn’t intelligent enough to understand will end a conversation real quick.

F’n A Cotton! I thought the same thing. He was very polite, but Jimmy and Jason are entitled to their opinion and analysis, as all fans are. No one should be badgered to be convinced to like something they don’t. Clearly they have thought about it as much as anyone who is going to call in, probably more.
