Loved the Aftershow, and absolutely loved Chapter 9. I could go on for hours saying positive things about what they've given us within 9 chapters, but nothing is perfect so I thought I'd throw a query out there... Does it bother anyone that the lore of the jedi and the force have been wiped from the face of the galaxy? It doesn't particularly bother me, but Peli Motto mentioning the force for the first time in this series brought it to my attention again. If Kuill was over 300 years old and had only had heard stories, how does an outer rim mechanic know of the force? Perhaps there is more in store for Peli Motto? Or maybe it was a play on real world people saying "Thank the lord" without truly thinking about the meaning of the phrase? Damn it feels good to speculate and be excited about the wars again!

I kinda feel like it’s more the “thank the Lord” type of phrase. But I agree, it’s strange. The Empire can’t have done THAT good of a job when the Jedi (just as an institution) had been around for thousands of years.

Didn’t get to listen live but loved hearing this later! If I called in I woulda asked how they could use Fett to launch Din further into the story IF he appears in episode 10. I can’t wait until next week!

Well, the way I've understood it is that the Jedi really came to keep to themselves, and kept the knowledge of who they were, the knowledge of the Force, and anything else having to do with them, as close to their chests as possible. It seems to me the Jedi didn't especially like the idea of anyone knowing about the Force without them for fear of someone becoming too powerful. Who knows how long this happened for. The galaxy is a huge place, but at even the height of their power they numbered only about ten thousand. Fairly small, and even smaller if they had only one temple, on Coruscant. So for me, maybe it wasn't that hard for the Empire to suppress knowledge of them and the Force after all. Kinda sad....

So I'm super surprised no one at all brought this up: Did anyone get a Dune vibe? I saw the Krayt dragon as extremely reminiscent of the sand worms from Dune. I half expected to see the Sand People try to ride it!

So I just thought of this idea, so I'm calling it now: Boba Fett, after blasting out of the Sarlacc pit, had to remove his armor lest he be eaten alive by the acid from the creature. He was then stranded in the desert, left to wander half alive, and before the desert could finally claim him he was discovered by the Sand People. He told them he killed the "almighty" Sarlacc and became honored among them. Boom!

Blake Weaver

That’s a awesome theory! My idea is that he got out with the armor or got blown out after jabbas ship exploded over the Sarlaac. Then the Jawas scavenged the armor off him and left him to die until the tuskens got him. I really hope we get Fett next week!

Doesn’t Jimmy have a krayt dragon keychain?

On my rewatch before the new episode tomorrow and am getting serious Batman vibes from the intro to Chapter 9. Just me?
