There was "The Reborn" in the Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast/Academy videogame. They were essentially artificially force-infused dark Jedi of the empire remnant. Another faction, the Shadowtroopers were also imbued with force powers via The Valley of the Jedi on top of Artusian crystals embedded in their chest armor to enhance said powers. They were equipped with lightsabers powered by synthetic "sith" crystals. To keep the videogame lore going, Phase 1 and Phase 2 Dark Troopers were featured in a real-time strategy game Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds.

Now all I can think about is does he die at Luke’s academy during the Knights of Ren attack. Or would he still even be there at that point. I can’t see them just being done with the character.
