I'm still trying to decide just what it was I saw. There was much in this episode that could have been expanded upon at the expense of a lot of other material in this season. Great to see Moff Gideon back as well as the mention of Thrawn via none other the Pellaeon himself. The building blocks for the cross-over are being laid down here. That said, Grogu has become irrelevant. Bo Katan is still wooden. The writing is ropey at best. The music this week was awful and it's clear much of this season was a wasted opportunity. It was better than last week's episode but last week's episode was setting a low bar.

Scott Osterkamp

Are we watching the same episode? Everything seems on par with Star Wars… writing, character performance (Bo was wooden in the clone wars), can’t argue the music. But it’s still Star Wars and I for one will be complaining when we don’t have new episodes after next week…

Kenny

For some odd reason the music for Moff Gideon's big reveal speech...the "dum dum duuum" tubas horns or whatever instrument that is...make his speech seems like something outta a villain from looney tunes 🤔 just kinda odd/off to me

I've said elsewhere this season has been a huge step down from the previous two seasons and it has become comparable to BoBF & Obi Wan (even though I liked Obi Wan). Even with the critically acclaimed Andor and the thoroughly decent Bad Batch, Star Wars is very troubled at this point. Compare it to Star Trek: Picard Season 3 and it is an absolute shadow.

Enjoyed the episode, only real nits to pick are the music is awful now, no idea why they got rid of the other guy from the first two seasons and the villains have a real scooby doo… dr. Evil…. Vibe… let me reveal my entire plan to the main protagonist then take him away to be rescued at a later time!

Dude, even Star Trek fans had to deal with the trash that was the first two years of Picard to get to this awesome season. They found the right person with Matalas as show runner. Wait until Ahsoka. Guarantee it'll knock your socks off for the same reason.

Rebel Force Radio

I really had no complaints about this episode. It had it all: Action, tension, exposition, reveals, character moments, high stakes with a strong antagonist, drama, a cliffhanger, great visuals and beautifully shot. Ticked off a lot of boxes according to my standards as a Star Wars fan and got the entire season back on track. - JMac

Yeah...but were those seasons that bad Peter? I'm no hardcore Trek fan but I thought they were fine. I can't profess to any knowledge of them breaking the lore or messing with past events or anything but they seemed like competent stories to me. Who's the showrunner for Ahsoka? Is it Filoni?

Kenny

👍💯 on the Scooby Doo reference....nailed it 😄

Is there a ad free video available of the show? I’ll I’m getting is a link to YouTube with ads every 10 minutes

Did anybody notice the anzellan after it said " No squeezie" say "I'm out motherf^@$*!" I had to recheck that I was hearing it right but it certainly sounded like that's what was said.

Dean

I'm not sure that's a positive actually. Filoni seems to have been offering diminishing returns.

I usually can get through to a direct video from YouTube with no ads, but this specific video post lead me to the link in the internal browser of Patreon.

I agree Jimmy. Here are some random thoughts: 1) I thought Coruscant looked amazing!. 2) Anyone else think the Mandos were going to play Red Rover when they were lined up across from each other? Red rover, red rover, send Din Jarin over. Probably just me. 3) The survivors boat / ship looked like something out of a Road Warriors movie. 4) I thought it was a little odd that the Mandos didn't look for survivors after the creature attack. 5) Imperial Beskar troopers were awesome! Reminded me a little of some of the McQuarrie concept art. 6) Loved seeing Jason's paper notes with the reference to The Great Pumpkin and 7) I don't think the Imperial Beskar wasn't weaker. If you watch the action you'll see the Mandos shooting them in the unprotected areas like neck and stomach. Great discussion guys and I loved that Jason had the Liam overlay reading for when he showed up :)
