EXCLUSIVE AD-FREE RFR EARLY BIRD RELEASE!

With STAR WARS films several years away, our focus is the streaming series. This week, we collected cool interview highlights from the casts of AHSOKA, ANDOR, and THE MANDALORIAN himself, Pedro Pascal, who reveals he hasn’t been under the helmet much lately. Will we see live action recreations of classic animated moments from Ahsoka Tano’s history?  Will Grogu play a role in the story? Should the famous STAR WARS opening crawl be included in streaming series, like AHSOKA, or should it be reserved for the films only? Star Wars in Pop Culture features SUCCESSION, NEWHART and introduces us to the fandom of the NBA’s 2023 #1 draft pick, Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs. Plus, Hera’s goggles, Galaxy’s Edge, and the mystery of Fake Mace.

Of all the offerings of the Patreon stuff, I most enjoy the early bird pod. It's much appreciated J&J.

Turtle Wars

Not a couple, and not significant characters, but there was George and his children together in ROTS. Seems like there must be others with so many people involved over the decades. And I would definitely buy a shirt that says “I liked Ahsoka before Ahsoka was cool”. I liked her from the first time I watched her in the theater in 2008.

She ended up being my favorite new character introduced in Clone Wars, however, it took my all the way through the first season before I even liked her. She just kept getting better and better after that.

While I’m a wait and see kind of guy now it’s refreshing to hear the cast of Ahsoka talk about the characters and franchise before the show comes out with such reverence. Compare this to how the Acolyte cast talk or a number of other big Hollywood projects and it’s night and day sometimes. Really enjoyed hearing those interviews.

Fun listen as always. If you haven’t listed to Jimmy’s interview with his mom about the Force Awakens you need to listen to it. I tried searching for it on my phone but couldn’t find it. It’s a great discussion. I never understood how the fake Mace scene didn’t get caught or fixed over all these years. I loved Galaxies Edge but it would be even better if it was OT themed.

Hadn’t considered that Ashley could be fibbing re not being in Ashoka. Would make my year. There won’t be many dry eyes in the house if she has a role in it. I seem to recall her saying on your Christmas time pod that she wasn’t allowed to see the filming or wasn’t allowed to release a pic or something. I spoke to her for about 7 mins at celebration 23 and I was like “it’s my mission to find Filoni and make sure you get a role in it” she was like “I’d do anything to be in it” I spoke to Rosario for about 7 seconds and managed to let her know that she’s gone up in our estimation for calling grogu grogu and not baby yoda (which I hate!) and that she’s taking on a super important role and to make us proud. I’ve never been more nervous for any star wars project as Ashoka is so crucial to our fandom as massive clone wars fans. Great show as ever but your thoughts that she may be in it properly cheered us up. Cheers

Hated her in that movie but loved her very shortly after. She and maul are my top 2 fav Star Wars characters. And like they said in the pod … Ashley’s love for her is so infectious that it makes you love her even more.

ZroKool

I think Rosario is and will be great and Ashley loves her so if she’s good with it I’m good with it!

Another Star Wars couple, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar ;)

I'm french and I sent a message to Victor Wembanyama to let him know that you would love to talk with him on RFR. You never know maybe he will answer : D

Got to love the ladies night at Eric the Reds reference. As a south side guy, I am familiar with the fun to be had there 😎

Trevor Hallam

I Liked the part "can't call it slave 1 anymore" When I was at Galaxy's edge FL back in October...I took pictures of Boba Fett's ship. And behold it was labeled slave 1. Took a picture of that baby.☺️

I'm not sure of building name...but it is where I went to meet Darth Vader, bb8 and Chewbacca. One side had the meeting areas and the other had some displays. Thos was between star tours and rise of the resistance. I sent some photos to the RFR email.
