Everyone else has to wait until tomorrow morning/afternoon

We plunge ourselves into The World Between Worlds by looking back at comments from Dave Filoni about the meaning and purpose of this mystical dimension. We eavesdrop on a conversation between screenwriter/journalist Cole Haddon and Jimmy Mac about the impact of Grand Admiral Thrawn since his introduction and question why author Timothy Zahn doesn’t receive more credit for the creation of the character. We’ve collected audio interview highlights with AHSOKA’s Diana Lee Inosanto (Morgan Elsbeth) and Ivanna Shakno (Shin Hati). Plus we go clubbin’ with Puppet Lando! What does THAT mean? You gotta listen to find out!

Early bird!.. but I’ll wait for the video! You guys are awesome.

Can’t believe it but I feel Ahsoka has really upped the Star Wars game. I’ve enjoyed Mando (not season 3) but it’s been a we’re few years. This is the most Star Wars/Fandom has felt Lucasian in a decade.

Love the early bird — love the video edition even more!

Wow! I really thought Sabine did use the force in that scene had no idea until the guys broke down a second look.

Great episode. Another thought about Timothy Zahn: Like Jimmy suggested, I don’t think what would make him the happiest is recognition for his influence on the Disney era, or being invited to walk on the red carpet at Star Wars premieres…or even being asked opinions about what to do in the live action series. Instead I think the highest compliment he would want is to be asked to write more Thrawn books, which Lucasfilm has done.

Listening to those interviews of Filoni talk about the World Between Worlds was amazing. Haven't heard some of them but others I remembered spot on, surprisingly. I left a couple comments on the latest Ahsoka After Show episode talking about some of them before I had listened to this show. Wow, can't believe I was so spot on for once! I feel vindicated. Lol :😜

But seriously, it's really encouraging to hear Filoni talk about it again, as to me it doesn't actually sound like a multiverse at all.

Oh man, the guy who wrote the email (Matt?) was really spot on, I thought. I've been watching through Rebels again and have been looking very closely at Thrawn and how much of a threat he really posed to the heroes. Watching it so closely this time gave me a far greater appreciation for him in Rebels, for sure, and for many of the same reasons the emailer gave. Well done, man! I feel like Thrawn is underappreciated in Rebels a bit too much (and before late I've fallen into that camp, myself); but if you pay close attention, he's actually a lot closer to his iteration in the original books than I initially gave him credit for. Thrawn whooped that rebel fleet soundly at the end of season 3, killing many of its leaders; even Mothma admitted she couldn't beat him with the main fleet, and kept it in hiding. Bendu only slowed Thrawn down a bit, but Thrawn beat even him. Even the rebel heroes like Ezra and the rest said they lost too much to Thrawn. Bendu takes nothing away from the tactical genius and the severe danger Thrawn posed to the rebels. Neither do the purgil, for that matter. The purgil were a wild card that just happened to work against the heroes' expectations. But it was clearly shown Thrawn had the victory, no doubt. All the heroes were captured and Thrawn had the whole city about ready to be blown to hell and back along with the heroes. The purgil take nothing away from Thrawn, any more than, say, the Ewoks take anything away from the Emperor in ROTJ. It's not a one for one comparison, by any means, but it stands to reason the Emperor would have been victorious no less than Thrawn was. That's why the last ditch desperate move was necessary: Nothing else worked. The wild card only highlights how unstoppable the villains were. It doesn't take anything away from them. But a wild card the likes of the Ewoks or the purgil is an unlooked for saving grace that cannot be counted on more than once. And the villains remain just as dangerous in spite of it.

Great show guys! I’ve found that Morgan, Baylen and Shin are the most interesting characters in the series. Really hope we see continued character development and that the two that can be in next season stick around. I was grilling when the Puppet Lando remix started. Almost spit out my beer. Awesome!

Sean W. from Warsaw

I can see why! I finally finished the episode. That last part about did me in, about "all the work". Lol! Now I'm imagining little Puppet Lando out on the dance floor spinning on his head or something!
