House Party 0.6.2 Beta (Patreon)

Hey guys,

Exciting news!  House Party 0.6.2 drops today to beta testers.  This release will be the first version of House Party to also hit GameJolt and Steam in the coming weeks.  We've spent a lot of time on this version optimizing the game and fixing as many of the outstanding issues and bugs we've come across, and this build is feeling pretty solid!

Included in this build are many many bug fixes and optimizations, but we've also added some Easter Eggs (can you find them before we release the walkthrough?).  On top of that we've included some of the newer mechanics in older quests to spruce them up a bit.

General Bug Fixes

Revamped Player Motion

Revamped Sex Transitions and Motion

Revamped Sitting/Laying Transitions

Displays Error Message Now When Trying to Load Older Save Files

Door Configurations Now Save Correctly

Current States Now Save Correctly (Sitting/Laying/Etc..)

Player can now get in hot tub

Improved Breast Physics

Removed Slow Motion Effect During Player Orgasm (Many were complaining it just looked like a frame drop)

Made Censor Larger (was still showing nudity at some angles)

Fixed an issue in Ashley and Madison’s story that caused a negative reaction after a blowjob

Smoothed Fighting Animations

Revamped Save System to Fresh Load the Game and then Apply Save State (More consistent results)

Reworked player movement and animation syncing

Fixed camera glitches during sex scenes

Fixed a glitch that caused characters to sink through the bed during sex on some systems.

Added some Easter Eggs

Not many changes, but since the number is just 0.01 bigger than the previous (from 0.61 to 0.62) it is adeguate. Is it compatible with story creator 0.3?

A lot of changes under the hood, but content-wise, no not much. Yes it's compatible with any version of the Story Creator 0.1.1 and greater.

one bug that I'm still encountering is that when I try to move something with the hand like say the tea pot it will move back and forth rapidly and then fly out of my hand when I haven't even moved so I can't do Racheal's plot line

will the game tell me if a quest in the game isnt finishable? cause there are one or two that im stuck on that im not sure if its cause im dumb or its its not done, like gaining franks trust

I am usually always looking into upgrading everything. The graphics have gotten a lot of love in recent updates, improved a lot, particularly in the 0.4.x builds. Then I shifted focus back to story. I'm sure I will swing back around and give the graphics more love eventually as well.

At the moment I only plan on adding Vickie. The characters will need to go through a revamping process in order to add more, as they are on the high side with the amount of polygons used to make them up. The game is already a little weighted toward better quality systems, so without doing that first, it would really drive the required specs up.

Getting Katherine to go upstairs to the laptop never works for me. katherine moves a little and then stays standing around in the hallway. :(

Are you talking to her in between? She will pause for 10 seconds if you do. Also, her path might be blocked. Could be somebody standing in a doorway or a crowd on the stairs. She should move when it becomes open.

Lots of bugs for me in this update. 0.6.1 was much more stable.

What bugs are you experiencing. It's been the complete opposite for most, saying this version is running really smoothly.

Wanna write u down any of the bugs i (maybe still) get on version 6.2. And some ideas for the future i had while playing again: Bugs: - Turning off the music on that speaker and turning on afterwards will cause in making the music louder than before. - Ready sound of the kettle is a way to loud on headphones, regardless off the audio settings -> gets loud enough after changing ur settings a second time - If u try to sit on one of those upset garden chairs next to the firepit outside and stand up after ur walk is kinda strange and u can look urself in ur neck. That changes if u sit down on a normal chair and stands up after - Asking Katherine to pose with her hands behind the head results in her toes vanishing in the ground - Ashley has no voice if ur asking her for Patricks phone - After giving Ashley her clean clothes back they are still in the bag - If ur untieing Ashleys top and Madison is excited about that she doesn’t give u the number of Vickie Vixen Praise: - Nice joke with Stephs dentist meeting - Better breast physics especially with Steph dancing on that table. And Ashley. Always :D Ideas: - Better sperm graphics - Grabbing function (boobs, ass) with that virtual hand - Scoll function inside the inventory

I'm running the Win64bit. First I'm unable to continue Rachel's storyline if I take the Ashley route. Have no issues with the blackmail Madison route. After the good ending with Ashley, no option ever pops up with Madison to get Vickie's phone number. Second there is a bottle of Merlot in the garage now, and you cannot "take" the bottle. We can only "inspect" it. Third, when first talking to Brittney you're talking to her about why she is upstairs in the office but in this update she is walking all over the house. Four Katherine spawned with no glasses, and she is walking around the house with an empty hand, the one that should be holding the cell phone. If I go to the kitchen, the cell phone is sitting there on the kitchen counter. Five after giving Ashley the clean clothes, they're still in inventory. Six, when heating the coffee on the stove, you can hear the kettle boiling if you're upstairs above the kitchen. These bugs happened to me when I ran the game last night. FWIW I ran it again today and some of the issues are gone. For example, the merlot bottle in the garage that I was unable to interact with, is now gone. ---Ran into another bug...if you're in the middle of Rachel's texting quest with Katherine and take her to the bedroom, she complains about the internet being down over and over during sex. It prevents you from switching positions and makes the characters twitchy.

Supplement: Loading after throwing Ashleys clothes in the washer will cause in a savegame in which Ashley is naked but the clothes arent inside of the washer or laying around somewhere

maybe increasing the brightness inside the garage would do some good. It was kind of hassle trying to find the natty lite in the garage

so after getting through this version i wanted to try out some of the created ones on the forums, and ive tried to register to get access but ive never gotten the email that lets me log in.

Ah ok. These are not actually bugs with the game. All of these things you mention are controlled by the story, so it seems your story file is corrupt or not downloading correctly. Have you downloaded any custom stories in the past? Maybe you are loading an older story or you downloaded a replacement for the original? Try deleting your Documents/Eek folder and let the game re-download the latest story version.

Soon. Madison, Ashley, and Stephanie's stories are rather short in comparison with Rachael and Katherine's. This is because they were the first written, and there weren't very many mechanics in the game when those stories were done. After I finish up with inserting content for all of the characters, and I going to loop back around and give all three of them full stories, and their current stories will be side-quests.

So, still the same issue of not being able to pick up objects without them going berserk and flying out of my hand onto the floor. This is a pretty big flaw as it prevents completion of Rachel's quest line as you can't get a hold of the kettle.

On the bright side, the loading times are much shorter and framerates are more stable during gameplay making everything else more seamless.

Am I right that there are the following endings right now: Rachael - one intercourse Katherine - endless intercourses Madison (good/bad) - one BJ / endless BJs and seeing her running around naked Ashley (good/bad) - endless BJ / see Madison good ending Stephanie - being a fucking tease, by saying she'd get horny when drunk, but doing nothing but showing boobs when dancing..

Yeah, I have seen that not everyone experiences it, but enough people are that it warrants a bug fix. I also don't have your sound issues with the stereo or kettle granted I have yet to be able to use the kettle. Honestly, I think eek needs to give us a tool to give a bug/glitch/error report that is interfaced into the game while we are playing, and not just somewhere for us to put up our experience. As I have yet to see a single response to anything I have posted from the creators, I can only say that this method is highly inefficient.

This bug is (hopefully) resolved in 0.6.3 which is coming out today. I don't always reply to everything, especially if I already know about an issue. I get feedback from a variety of places, and to keep up on it would take a lot of time away from me actually developing the game. The downloads look ok on my end. Could have just been a bad hop. Try again and let me know if you keep experiencing the issue.
