House Party 0.6.3 Beta (Patreon)

Hey guys,

Here's house Party 0.6.3 Beta.  This is a small update to address some more outstanding bugs, and there are a few changes to the way the game works with loading and launching custom stories.  The tutorial was also switched over to its own story.

This should be the last of the 0.6.x series, and I will begin work on 0.7.0 now which means new content!

So, 2 things: The sex mechanics going from 6.1 to 6.2 are completely jacked up. It's like my main man forgot how to thrust. He will thrust once or twice and then just sit there balls deep, and the only way to fix it is to move your crosshairs up then back down. And that will only work for one more thrust then repeats. Does this update address those bugs?? And 2: You took away the crouch function and made it barely a crouch. Can you fix that to how it was in 6.1?? Thanks for your time. Great game.

I'm not seeing that happening here, but somebody reported a similar problem and said they fixed it by changing their resolution. What res are you running? I can look into it.

Windows 64 bit at the "fantastic" res I believe is what you guys call it. My computer can handle anything tho. Shouldn't have to change the res if there wasn't anything wrong with it in 6.1, right?

Well, the quality setting is different than the resolution. The resolution would be something like 2560x1440. I'm curious what yours is set to because that seemed to be a factor with somebody else having this issue.

Thanks. Why was the crouch changed? I wouldn't even call it a crouch now. In Stephanie's story when she tells you about looking up her skirt, you actually COULD if you wanted to. Now you can barely crouch.

There were a few reasons it was changed. There are a lot of systems using inverse kinematics, meaning there are actually physics calculations governing the way the bodies are moving in addition to their animations, so the sex and the crouching are a bit tied together in that aspect that they use the same base components. The camera also factors into this too because it needs to see from the player's "eyes". It's a lot to get into, but I will see what I can do about making the crouch a little lower. Right now it's more *realistic*, but not necessarily conducive to getting the best eye candy, and I'm aware of that. :)

I have not addressed this issue yet. This is a bug with Unity, and Unity just put out a huge patch with a bunch of bug fixes, which I do not plan to upgrade to in the 0.6.x series, but it will be the first thing I do with 0.7.0.

The easter eggs will be the only thing added to the walkthrough. It will be out after it is decided the 0.6.3 line is complete, so assuming there are no major issues with this version that we plan to fix before 0.7.0, the walkthrough will be out shortly after.

Yep, it fixes the hand issue. I can finally try out Rachel's full story to the end. Thanks for the speedy second installation into the series.

when i have sex, characters don't move. They just twitching...If i change pose to doggy-style they start moving after 3-5 sec. This bug i seen in 0.6.2 and 0.6.3 beta versions. Playing on Windows 7 64.

Have you tried playing at different resolutions? I heard of one other person having this issue and changing their resolution fixed the issue, but I'm not sure what they were running and what they changed it to, so if it does clear up the issue, let me know so I can investigate.

yes. I tried to play with 1280x768, 1280x960, 1280x1024 and 1024x768. No difference. =(

I was having the same problem. Resolution didn't change anything, but windowed mode made the characters move again instead of just vibrating. The motions are still a bit out of sync and seem to jitter a bit even in windowed mode though. If you fullscreen again with Alt+Enter after you start in windowed mode things still work.

Might have found a bug? If you get frank to come at you, go outside, and climb up to the 2nd story window, he runs back inside and goes into that room. Doubt there is an easy fix for this, but thought I might mention it. Other than that great game.
