Hey guys!

Here is House Party 0.7.2 Beta!  This is the release candidate that will be going out to the major platforms in a week if things are looking good.  As always, we appreciate your feedback to help with the debugging process.

After we finalize this version, we will start on a new Alpha, and that will be a very content focused build, as well as tackling some of the larger issues we've gotten reports on (like path-finding).

Hot tub can now be accessed by simply walking up the stairs.

Added ability for girls to get into the hot tub

Added AI for girls getting in and out of the hot tub at will

Fixed a bunch of typos

Enhanced on the sight system.  Characters should not longer trigger false positives and see through walls occasionally

Fixed a bug in Madison's storyline

Fixed a bug that allowed you to get dressed while sitting in the hot tub

It's correct, this beta has not more story than the alpha? That's not enought for a major release. Voice and new animation is a nice to have but that is too little.

This release was very focused around bug-fixes. We added as much new content as we could, but the major focus was on clearing up all of the issues that were making the game frustrating to play. We've clamped down on most of the outstanding issues, and next month's release will be more focused on adding new content. There's also a lot of new sandbox content in this version with the console/hot tub/gazebo.

So i found a few bugs: -Vickie wasn't showing up. Comes the first time for me with 0.7.2. (But i will test that again and restart the game) -When Rachael talks with herself about the messages "Vickie" sends her (like "You have the mind of a perverted game developer" for example) the option you can klick isnt " (continue) " , it is "I'll talk to you later. I gotta run" or something like that. (The text to stop talking to her). I think that should be saying "continue" since you are not really talking to her. Yes i know thats a minor bug :D -If you catch Rachael masturbating because you leave the closet, her answer isn't with voice backround, only text. -Some girls (i saw Amy and Ashley for sure) instead of getting dressed after leaving the hot tub, begin to loose even more of their clothes. Thats definitely not a bad thing, but i think thats not really supposed to happen like that :D Hope i could help you guys. :) And sorry for my english if something isnt right, im from germany.

Hmm... In my download, there's no new characters, but the ladies can go in the hot tub.

hiya extracted the download and when click on the exe i get the following error - Data not found - There should be 'HouseParty 0-7-2_Data' folder next to the executable. It is a simple fix i know but maybe something to correct in future releases?? all i had to do was rename the HouseParty_Data to HouseParty 0-7-2_Data

I'm having an issue with the camera being broken! I assemble it with the SD card like normal, but it won't take any pictures. I checked the photos folder in the My Documents/HouseParty and there are folders but no photos. Not sure why this is. Oh, and I'm running the 64 bit windows edition. EDIT: Looks like this was a result of Avast! locking this program from making changes to my hard drive. Gotta work on that one. Edit 2: I can't figure out which 'shield' is blocking the game. Found a temporary fix under Settings, Troubleshooting, Passive Mode. Turning Passive mode on is letting me play normally, apparently Avast was blocking the game from making changes to the files in My Documents. I'll try to figure out which exception list I have to add the game or save folder to tomorrow.

I also noticed that it was very difficult to get Katherine to go to a secluded place. I followed her back and forth between the kitchen and outside for probably an hour before she finally went upstairs. I know this is probably random but maybe it could be weighted to have her go to a secluded place after so many tries. I also noticed that save states are really hit or miss. I had Katherine in the bedroom ready to go when I discovered that I couldn't ask Frank for the bottle. After reloading, I was able to get the bottle, but then Katherine was back in another room and I had no way to get her back into the master bedroom. Also, I noticed that if someone is in the hot tub when a save is made they will never put their clothes back on after getting out.

Is anybody else having trouble trying to get Vicky to show up? Not sure if I shouldn't be completing any other stories first or what, but she never showed, even after saving/reloading.

I cant access much new content either. I cant get Viki to show up and aside from the hottub I dont think Ive seen anything new

FYI guys, all of the new content is with Vickie's character. For those of you having trouble getting her to show up. Do Rachael's quest, and text Vickie instead of Rachael, and choose the second text message option.

but she is already sort of "there" npcs will gravitate to an area behind the gazebo and by looking there it will register a black space as vickie but speaking to it or streaking by it breaks the game and you cant speak to anyone anymore

Nice Find! I did notice NPCs gravitating back there but I didn't notice 'Nega Vickie' at all. Sounds like the devs need to create an off limits room in the house somewhere for NPC's who haven't arrived yet.

How long does it take Vickie to show up? I sent the text, but she never seems to show....nevermind she was stuck out behind the gazebo.

It should take about 30 seconds or so, assuming you sent the correct text message (The second option).

I've got Vickie, now I'm stuck with the flower scenario. I gave Ashley the one red flower I could find, she turned it down. Now I'm stuck. There's no flower in my inventory and I can't find another one anywhere. I mean I've crouched down, looked up, tried to open every shelf I can, talked to everyone. Are we supposed to just find another flower or is there an event not kicking off?

i Just cant play the Game. Everytime since the first 0.7. Alpha i get the Error that the Game cant download the latest story and i have to do it manualy. It have all rights on the Firewall and my Anti-Virus-program have no problem with the game. And this for 15 $....

The last 2 releases don’t work on Mac. Crashes after passing main menu. Is there a plan to keep supporting stable versions for the Mac? In the past these worked beside a few graphics issues like the hair. Please let me know as it isn’t worth continuing support if the game will be broken

Super buggy if you request an action to be done by someone (e.g. asking Katherine to spoof the cell) and they run into another character or a locked door. Unlocking the door or forcing the requested character around the other person doesn't seem to reset the action so you're stuck in a loop.

Hey ! great game, i have it for a long time now, but i did download the last version of the game, but i have no more content, there is just the hot tub changed.. there is no vickie or dereck or amy... please can you help me ? do i need to download something else ?

My download of the game is completely unplayable. Every time i load it up, I get this error code. ERROR: COULD NOT UNZIP THE STORIES SUCCESSFULLY. YOU MAY NEED TO DOWNLOAD THEM AND ADD THEM TO THE FOLDER. There is no way I can play the game, can anyone tell me what to do?

Is the empty vodka bottle bugged in this update? I inspect it but there is no option to ask Frank about it.

It's still a bug. If Ashley rejects the flower you should still have it in your inventory.

I think he means those characters are not showing for him. In which case maybe you need did not download it completely maybe try re-downloading the file and unzipping it in a new folder.

Okay so small issue with the new system. I started a new game to test out the Jacuzzi but then I saw Brittany get up and go to the Jacuzzi, which would not be an issue if I had did the quest to make her comfortable to come downstairs but since I have not.. There lies the issue lol. I have to say playing the game to find bugs is a fun experience in itself especially when you see something as funny as this. I'd say leave this as an actual feature for LOL's but I doubt many would find it as funny as I did so. Keep up the great work though guys the game is coming along awesomely!!

I had to turn off the 'Active' component on my Anti-Virus, it wasn't letting the beta make changes to My Documents. They do that for unrecognized programs to try and help keep you safe from Ransomware. Of course it won't recognize a beta test of a game. If you do turn off active scanning, be sure to turn it on once you're finished testing the Beta!

I mentioned above, I had the same problems. I think it's a conflict with some Anti-Virus software, not letting the game download or change the stories in the My Documents folder. When I had this problem I couldn't download stories or take photos with the camera when I had a story. I had to turn off the active scanning in my Anti-Virus to get the Beta to work normally. Be aware this leaves you more vulnerable to Ransomeware attacks. It shouldn't be a problem with the full release of the game.

I did have an issue with the Hot Tub where Madison (I think it was her) stood up in the tub... and stood on top of the water. Lol

You should have a future, where you can tell Ashley that Madison wants to get her naked in front of the party, then they start bashing each other up
