It doesn't come across so good but Gill drops her spent magazine in the first panel when she's calling the Sergeant accompanying her. It's said that much of the action in comics takes place "between the panels" which is exactly where she inserts a new magazine before releasing the slide in panel 2. In retrospect I could probably have drawn a cartridge visible in the ejection port but only giant firearms nerds like me will notice that.Having wisely taken cover behind the car, Gill and company take fire from across the street, though at that sort of distance a short-barrel shotgun would not be particularly effective. It is intimidating and impressive though, tearing through the bodywork and glass.There's some details I don't like about the bottom panel but overall I like the awkwardness of the situation as it's unfolded abruptly. Gill barking orders and peering over the glass-dusted car hood. Cool.
