Painting Tyranid Broodlord - Set1 (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to present you the first set of how I painted the Broodlord so far. I show you the basics of how I build up the color contrast, using washes and pin washes of Contrasts and Inks. This is a really simple and quick technique that can be used for multiple models at once. Then I preceeded to paint precise highlights and freehand patterns on top of it. 

The pdf only showcases the first part of the journey, while the videos covers everything. I found out that it's pretty difficult to make a good pdf tutorial on painting the detailed highlights and freehand pattern, it is a lot easier to show it on a video. The paints are all the same for both stages, only I added pure white acrylic paint to mix in with the shades for the highlights and patterns.
