Hey dears, I wanted to thank everyone here for their continued support. I’m going to try experimenting with some different things here including lore dumps on past characters and worlds, behind-the-scenes on inspirations, and what lead to what. You might be surprised how and where some of the characters started and where it eventually went from there. Where there were tweaks in appearance and even personality. If anyone has any requests, please let me know!
If you also have suggestions for things you’d like to see more here on Patreon, I’d just love to hear back from you. I don’t know how often it’s said by others, but I really mean it when I say that I value your feedback as much I do you being here to begin with. I was always curious and meant to ask, but did the release of the game “My Friendly Neighborhood” have any inspiration for your puppet projects?
I’d understand if it did. Something about that game hit every mark for me so much so that it became one of my all-time favorites.
And I always thought (head-cannon) that 882 Puppet Avenue took place after the events of MFN.
Believe it or not, no actually! 882 Puppet Avenue was inspired by a friend of mine, Dollstaff who was very fond of puppets and dolls.
Having an appreciation myself, I wanted to work on some ideas for her for original characters, and 882 slowly formed as an idea that was further inspired by the video game Control and its nature of AWE’s (Altered World Events) and eventually I settled on the premise of themes similar to older puppet shows.
