The -Z- Files

The dynamic is a nice build each episode.Yes the fan service/ corny jokes are well done but I have a tiny theory actually. I don't know if this is like a throw away series where it's more about the jokes and "plot" or it'll get into deeper more meaningful stories but little things in this episode especially makes me feel that Uzaki has never had any real close close friends or after awhile past friends have abandoned her due to her hyperactivity or jokes or whatever. I know they show her eating with her classmate but that could be as far as that goes. Mainly her reaction to him agreeing to do things, suggesting the weekend plans and him saying something simple like "Next time" seemed to make her way happier then it should unless she basically never gets invited more then once or kept in contact by other friends. Now being at my age now I kinda see how this could be since as a kid (in highschool and such) my friend track record wasn't great and I had situations where "friends" wouldn't invite me to things more then once or twice so if someone was like "Hey want to come to the lake this weekend at my families place" or some other invite it instantly brightened my pretty drab life. I think she's had that kinda drab or boring and maybe lonely life but now with "senpai" it's no longer the case. Or who knows I'm wrong and she just likes laughing at him lol

Francisco Salazar

Small detail I love: Uzaki doesn't do the stereotypical romcom reaction when things get ecchi. First episode senpai accidentally grabbed her boob and she just blushed, not making it an issue. This episode senpai was pressed against her and it was more embarrassing for him than her. We get the caught in the rain trope and Uzaki uses it to tease senpai before she gets to making dinner. It is a step up in maturity that shows they are still clueless but are not kids anymore. Senpai loses his temper sometimes but he would never take advantage of Uzaki. I want an OVA where Senpai gets to smack the Kazuya (Rent-A-Girlfriend) upside the head for being so disrespectful.

Fake Name

So, I wonder how the author is going to handle this. Will they start dating? How will that influence their relationship? Or the author throws a spanner in the works to maintain the status quo?

That's a really good point I think that is one of the reasons I'm enjoying this so much since it doesn't do the typically romcom reactions to ecchi scenarios.
