I'm not a good judge of animation quality unless it's really bad so this episode was fine for me, I'm just happy to have Kumoko back. It seems to me that the fight with Ariel will continue next week, however I'm not sure where the season will end since we only have 2 episodes left. We'll either get a launching point for a possible season 2 or a badly rushed ending.

Kumoko's fights with the Earth Dragon and Mother's minions were insanely well-animated and brilliantly choreographed. I checked out the manga for spoilers and its seems that the Arch Taratect battle was, as far as I could tell, anime-only. Sucks that things feel like they are falling apart but there was a lot of great animation in this series. Maybe the director saw how great the CGI crew was doing and said, "You did great! As an award you guys can go ahead and finish the entire series. Everyone is expected to work 20 hour days and don't expect any overtime pay..."

Yea the Kumoko vs Earth Dragon was amazing I couldn't stop praising it that episode. Just sad that going towards the end of the series it's falling apart when I was hoping for a banger with Ariel vs Kumoko. But still two episode left so I still have hope!
