Perhaps Evelyn needs repeating mantras to repeat in her pretty head to help her focus on her priorities. These would start distorting his ability to separate the 2 lifes. Feel like him thinking about doing it for Mia could backfire when something he must do as Evelyn would make him hesitate at how it could affect Mia like having to start living in the estates maid bedroom when there's guests staying there or a change in appearance may upset Mia so he'd hesitate but doing it means a happy mistress as a maid. Something like: "A pretty maid makes her mistress shine in society", this would make him paranoid at looking his best at work and obsess over keeping a healthy appearance outside work even if it requires girly skincare at home. "A dedicated maid thinks only of her mistress and her needs before her own", this would make him becoming worry about the lady's wellbeing even at the cost of cutting time at home with Mia or thinking it's selfish to worry about Mia before the lady. "A maid's step must be light as air so her mistress isn't bothered", it would drive the graceful soft girly steps to become second nature so he doesn't risk the lady's punishment or such while starting to invade his male life like unconsciously staying in background or doing a mincing walk when rushed failing to notice it while others think he's campy.

This self censoring will soon make it difficult for Evelyn to live a double life. Which may create a conundrum: she is doing it for Mia, but would Mia be okay with her becoming a new person? 🤔 Beautiful rendering, Cassie 😻

This is such a good point, Evan could easily lose himself trying to do what he feels is right for them both, the deeper he becomes Evelyn, the harder it's going to be to break character, who knows what's ahead under her Ladyship's employment.....🤔
