Tier Reshuffle / Restructuring - FAQ (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

The Tier changes are NOW LIVE, and I'm sure there are still questions about it all.I have compiled some of the questions I've seen / anticipate we might see and have answered them all below:

General Questions

Are the prices going up?

No, absolutely not. Every existing tier stays at the same price! The only thing changing is what each tier is called and what it includes with all tiers getting improvements.

Am I losing any benefits I currently have?

No, nobody is losing anything. In all cases you're actually gaining benefits! Art packs and animation downloads are moving down to the $13 tier, so if you were already there, you now get more than before. :)

Do I need to do anything for the changes to take effect?

Nope, nothing at all. Everything updates automatically. You'll stay on your current tier and the new benefits will just be there.

What is the Sax Tip Jar and who is it for?

A brand new $3 tier for anyone who wants to support Vulgar Reverie without committing to game access right now. You get Discord access, a role, and access to devlogs and posts. A way to be part of the community!

Does the Sax Tip Jar get access to the game?

No. Game access starts at the $7 Softcore Sax tier. The Tip Jar is a community and support tier only!

Why are you making these changes?

We looked hard at what we were offering and felt that it needed tweaking. The biggest change (with $7 Quick Sax becoming the new Softcore Sax Tier and getting the latest build) is something we feel will be beneficial and more affordable for everyone. We also wanted to lower the barrier for anyone who has been on the fence about joining our community of Netorase enthusiasts!

Tier renaming

Why have the tier names changed?

The old names, Quick Sax, Softcore Sax, Hardcore Sax and Saxonator are all staying, but think of it like they are all shifting down one price tier, with their respective benefits becoming cheaper after moving too!

My tier has a completely different name now! Am I on the right tier?

For sure! Nobody has been moved anywhere or being charged a different price to what they signed up for. Here's a quick reference of the tier name changes:

Quick Sax -> Softcore Sax ($7)

Softcore Sax -> Hardcore Sax ($13)

Hardcore Sax -> The Saxinators ($20)

The Saxonators → Sax Legends ($33)

So it's just the name of the tier and better benefits you are getting. The price, billing date and your access stays exactly the same.

I can't find my old tier on the page anymore. Has it been removed?

No, it's just been renamed. If your old tier isn't showing by its old name, that's why. Check the reference list above to find what it's changed to and feel free to message us directly if anything looks off!

Tier specific

I was on Quick Sax at $7. What do I get now?

You now get the latest version of Vulgar Reverie as soon as it releases since it is now the new Softcore Sax tier. That's the biggest change we made and we hope it helps our game feel more affordable for everyone.

I was on the Softcore Sax tier at $13. What's changed for me?

Your tier is now called Hardcore Sax. On top of what you already had, you're now getting art pack downloads and animation downloads included! Those used to be a higher tier perk, they're now yours for no added price.

I was on the Hardcore Sax tier at $20. What's my tier now?

You're now on The Saxonator tier. Everything you had before is still there, plus you will have access to exclusive discussion posts here on Patreon and private Discord channels we will be making that only Saxonators (and above) can see, a fast, direct line to me and the team!

I was on the $13 Softcore Sax Tier that is now renamed to Hardcore Sax. Should I downgrade now that the cheaper $7 Softcore Sax gets the latest build?

That's completely up to you! The new $13 Hardcore Sax tier still offers more: monthly polls, art pack downloads, animation downloads, a higher Discord role etc. If those things matter to you, it's still worth it. But if the latest game download is all you care about, then yes, feel free to go onto the lower tier instead! :)

I'm on the current Saxonator $33 tier. What's happening to me?

Your tier is being renamed to Sax LEGENDS, because that's what you are! Nothing is being taken away, you'll have ALL of the perks from above and your support as not gone unnoticed. The team and I will be reaching out to each of you personally. Keep an eye on your messages!
