Great episode!!! Thank you so much for the laughs. To be honest I've been going through a really tough time and the two of you are a godsend.

Peggy Ann

Mattie has a point about the tragedies in April. Columbine was April 20

Amanda Bissaro

Boston Sissy here - no one actually cares about beans! But, if you are interested in a regional dish, get some New England clam chowder. 😋

Peggy Ann

Short video idea: Mattie and Poodle do a version of the Simple Life. Poodle is thriving with farm life and Mattie is fumbling all over the place

Aly

It wouldn’t be a Sophie and Rob segment workout her mom saying ROB THE KNOB 🤣 #teamheatingpad

Peggy Ann

Brian Peck manipulated everyone and gave false information to every one of those people who wrote letters for him. Rider Strong talks on Pod Meets World how years later he bumped into Peck at a party and was able to see with adult eyes that Peck was trying to manipulate him again and was name dropping all over the place, just like he did in the 90s

Linda Coy

So many great points made about Nicole. She walked around with an anxious look on her face, but everything she’s wearing, her apartment decor, the way she addressed him at the airport was not sensitive to his culture at all. Revenge tour was a perfect way to describe it. She didn’t need to wear a hijab, but a belly-baring outfit was ridiculous.

Georgie

I felt left out of the heating pad convo, so I used my seat warmers on the drive home while listening 😂 I get it now, thanks Poodle!

The people who wrote letters of support for him had to AT LEAST know he was being charged for sex crimes against a child though right?

He was very manipulative and painted himself as the victim. From what I understand, people didn’t know much of the details because he was the one passing on the information. I recommend listening to the Pod Meets World episode that Rider and Will talk about it. They have a licensed therapist on to talk with them. When Peck worked on the show, Rider was a teenager and Will was early 20s. They were both young and easily manipulated to believe whatever came out of Peck’s mouth. (Hell, even the adult actors on Growing Pains fell for his spiel. Like I said, reminds me of the Abducted in Plain Sight case.) I believe the same can be said about James Marsden. When Marsden wrote the letter, they knew each other 14 years - that’s roughly half of Marsden’s life at that point. If Peck didn’t assault Marsden, he manipulated him just like he did to Rider and Will - coming across as this cool guy in the industry who has all these connections, promising he’ll hit you up with one of those connections to help you with your career.

I grew up in peak Dan Schneider Nickelodeon. Drake and Josh was my absolute favorite show; I watched every day of my life elementary-middle school. Knowing everything that happened to Drake and how it still affects him is just so so sad… I will say though, some things they said in that doc I didn’t really agree with, such as when they talked about the clothes on Zoey 101… all their outfits were tween girl dream outfits at the time, and I didn’t think any of them were inappropriate at all? Not even their swimwear was scandalous, they mostly wore tankinis. It seems that Victorious was where shit was REALLY getting wild. Dan did not hold back with any perversion on that one. I was a bit old for Nick by the time that one came on, but those scenes they showed with the foot sucking and water bottle pouring on chest?? WHAT THE HELL

Lizzy

As soon as I saw the hieronymus Bosch shower curtain I KNEW she was fucking with him

Ted Danson

what’s with all the long pauses ?? kept thinking something was wrong with my phone

Alicia De Toro

I love my bestie (my heating pad). Yes, I’m using it now! 😂

I noticed that too! 😂 she trolled him down to the cardboard pizza she served him

Emma McGowan

A friend of mine performed in Mary poppins in SF and I left during intermission and pretended I stayed the whole time 😂😂

Jennifer Moseley

My 17 year old daughter (and her team) just won a city wide shark tank like idea pitching event. Their idea/product was a tank top that holds a heating pad to assist w menstrual cramps.

Aida Flores

Y’all hit the nail on the head about Manuel. My dad is basically the older version of Manuel lol. He is Peruvian (south of Ecuador where Manuel is from) and so the culture is very similar. My dad has always been so secretive about soooo many things about himself. He has such a hard time sharing those things about himself and uses humor to deflect anytime we try to ask about stuff. I do think a lot of it comes from his identity as a Hispanic male immigrant in America and not being able to meet the “traditional male/macho standards” of his culture. He is also very difficult to connect with because he has no tools to communicate/be vulnerable. Which I also see in Manuel - Ashley needs so much validation and he just really does not have the tools to do that. Which then leads to him using humor/sarcasm to deflect.

Arden

Rob the Knob is the polar opposite of “joi de vive” (sp). NO ONE IN BOSTON EATS BAKED BRANS 😂

TT

Thank God I grew up on 80s Nickelodeon, all the shows were either Double Dare, Don't Just Sit There, Canadian shows, actually for kids, and the slime wasn't fake jizz!

erin.vip

Prettyyyyy sure the Mark Ruffalo lonely meme you’re referencing is Pablo Escobar, from the Netflix show Narcos 😆

Cher W

Excited to hear about the upcoming cast recording of Seagull Song, Poodz. Been singing “Poor Baby” to myself for days.

Jamie Katherine

Mattie, your Mr. Banks leaving the bank comparison to Rob was art 🤌

Erin Mc

I too was left "shoulder shrugged" at the end of The Feud season 2. If you have to pick and choose an episode like a song on a CD than it wasn't a good CD. Still some good takeaways. Are either of you watching Mary & George??? Can we get a corner about Julianne Moore???

Samantha Crabtree

I find it interesting that everyone is shocked by what happened at Nickelodeon. Shirley Temple had an interview with Larry King back when his hair was brown where she tells him about sexual abuse in Hollywood. Allegedly Cory Haim was SAed on the set of Lucas at the age of twelve by Charlie Sheen. There are many more cases that are out there, this isn’t new information only the exact names of the victims are new. I think it’s because America wants a perfect victim and most go crazy in some way to deal with trading their innocence

Callie

Was Sophie’s mom wearing her dress backwards?

Jenna Ausiello

April 19th is also bicycle day and the first time anyone tripped on LSD! That’s what I think of for that date 🤣🤣

Garbage Titz

Instagram ads are so dangerous. I bought a “dog bed for humans” that of course never arrived (among many other things) 😅

Jenna Ausiello

Two episodes in and no Angela and Michael.. does anyone know if they removed them from the season due to what happened??

Em

I think the thing to remember with Drake Bell coming out as abused is that he unfortunately continued the cycle… he fled to South America a few years ago because he was caught being inappropriate with minors. So it’s awful what he went through, but it’s also awful to see that he perpetuated similar things on the next generation. I know it’s part of abuse, but very complex.

They did because some of them mentioned his being “tempted” by the child and what was he supposed to do? It’s all sickening.

Peggy Ann
>>133339341

You’re right, they did say that. I hate all of this. Let’s burn it all down 😩😔

Anna

Mattie. I also had that Brady Bunch cd and still know every song. 🤣

Sandie

Nicole is 100% trying to retaliate for what age experienced in Egypt. She's a horrible partner. I couldn't believe she was mad at him for not sleeping. What the actual fuck is that about? She is too old to act this way.

Nikki

Mattie, I'm sorry but you would never be able to have a chicken coop lol even I get scared when I have to break a broody hen and hear the dinosaur scream and get pecked haha 😂 tip: wear gloves
