I really didn’t like Connie. She was already threatened by Daniel’s family…she made that comment about competing for time. And she made the engagement all about her own hurt. I grew up in Minnesota and it's killing me that Mattie and Poodz think that Minnesotans aren't religious. Tons of people are Lutheran/protestant, it's just that these religious values actually take loving your neighbor seriously. My sister's BFF growing up is now a pastor and goes to protests regularly for racial justice, unions etc while wearing her collar. Religion doesn't always have to go hand in hand with racism/homophobia/bigotry. Who knew!?

Watching season 17 of Married at First Sight and MULTIPLE couples are obsessed with their religious beliefs. My favorite is the woman who claims to not be religious but had a full on breakdown about her husband believing she'll go to hell because she doesn't believe in God. I was so confused!
