I too, LOVED the Saturday matinee movies as a child! Urban Cowboy stands out most in my memory. Probably my most useful knowledge came from those movies! You just had to leave the TV on after cartoons and wait for the bowling competitions to get over with.

I’ve never seen an objection. But I went to a wedding where the father wouldn’t attend because he would object because the groom was black. BUT HE MADE A SURPRISE ENTRANCE AT THE WEDDING AND THEY DANCED TO DADDY’S HOME. People look walked out. So awkward.

Poodle - POODLE - the reason Anfisa / Antifa lost her mind at the wedding wasn’t because she loved Jorge at all. I read that as she was finally in touch with the part of her she tucks away so well - disgust at Jorge & herself for selling her body to who she thought was the highest bidder & marrying him . I think she was horrified that she was really having this wedding to an idiot slob who DIDNT have any real money just to be in America. I’d bet money that if she saw herself as she was - selling her soul to someone she didn’t even really like, let alone love . Now it’s real - she’s in a dress ( stunning !) driving from a crap one bed room apartment in. Truck with PVC pipe in it to the American courthouse with a load of BS driving & saying how much he loves her . She can’t stand him! And she has to MARRY him! She’s horrified with herself .
