I don't feel sorry for Ximena's mother she is pushing her daughter to stay in a relationship with someone who revolts her. Her parents seem to live in her house, and I wonder if they are thinking of their own financial future with getting her to send money home. Also I think Ximena would have a TERRIBLE life in America in that house where she would be trapped looking after Mike, his father, and his grandfather as well as her own children. I am not saying Ximena is great, but I do think it's unfair that she is constantly expected to suck up her disgust.

I went and saw The Family Stone by myself in college and at the time my Dad was fighting terminal cancer. I didn’t read anything about the movie, just that SJP was in it and that was reason enough to see it. Big mistake! I was sobbing so hard that I couldn’t get up from my seat. The folks cleaning the theater were very nice but I could tell were like “wtf is wrong with her?”

Ben just needed a Daisy BB gun to go with his little Woody's Roundup costume, and Ximena is truly legendary compared to any other cast member that was convinced to appear on this show in terms of sketchy walks of life. The hitman, the prison thing, her blatant intentions, etc. It's amazing.

I feel you! Guardians of the Galaxy was supposed to be a fun distraction, but I did not know about the opening scene. It was shortly after my mom died and I was audibly sobbing through the first 10 minutes. It was also very early in a relationship, which was a bit awkward. Fortunately, he stuck around!

FYI- Nathan Lane’s character (Ward McAllister) on The Gilded Age was a real person! He was indeed the BFF of the old New York society- he was the one who coined a phrase about the New York / Astor 400, which was the number of people who could fit in mrs. Astor’s ballroom! He wrote a society column, which I don’t think is mentioned on the show, but that’s part of why the socialites sucked up to him so much.
