Yesss! I’ve been waiting for this one. Thank you!!

Sage Morton

I just got out of work and almost scared a coworker because I screeched with excitement. LOL

Gabrielle M

Yassss, now I can do chores!

Gabrielle M

100% agree on age , it was so odd to pick all 20 somethings ? It made every convo laughable. But this show has potential

Mary Scheske

I can go ahead and tell you Madlyn grew up in the Houston area, went to Texas A&M, and now has a great job in Austin. She's tired as hell of paying Colby's rent (ATX is 💰💰💸💸💸) and putting up with his shit - and admittedly Madlyn is absolutely my people a decade ago 🤣 Btw this whole thing is filmed in the Austin, Texas area. Episode 4 starts off at The Oasis, which is a beautiful lakeside restaurant that definitely does not have silver goblets, candles, or white tablecloths lol

Alexis looks like she could be one of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughters. Her and Rumer look so similar

Arden

I was thinking she looks like the Wish version of Jenny McCarthy.

Saying "if you won't marry me then I'll find someone else" also feels like weaponising/a threat, IMO. It's basically insinuating that a guy has heaps of options, there's a bunch of women out there who will bend to their will. Or if you won't, someone else will. It's the same thing, different angle. I've been in that situation, & it was where children were involved. I didn't want them, he did. He told me during one argument that he would be a father "either with you or someone else". Because there are plenty of women out there who want children, so he has plenty of options. That brings up another point about values, they do have to match. We're no longer together, that was a big part of it.

Kelly Savoie Samora

You’re exactly right! Values must align. So many of these people bother me with their “I need a ring” blah, blah, blah. Uggghhh, you’re barely legal to drink! Grow up a bit then we can talk.

Nicole

Next season Give me people in their 30s and people who have been dating longer than two years!

Val McCue

I saw the first episode and I’m just listening to y’all’s recap, I’m not their target audience. It’s like watching Friends with characters from Saved by the Bell.

Rebecca Goodge

I didn't give an ultimatum with my now husband, but I do remember saying something like "I'm not gonna wait around forever for you to propose".(This was around the 3 year mark and we had lived together for a year, but we were only about 24 or so). I didn't realize at the time that he was ring shopping asking my sister for opinions on rings haha. Looking back on it now we did get married young (25), but 8 years and 2 kids later we're still very happy 😊

Brooke Neufer

I married the man I started dating when I was 17. We have had an amazing 25 years together- some really low times- but we’ve always been willing to be honest with each other, compromising, and willing to change and grow together. When i was 22, about to graduate, I told him it was time. Shit or get off the pot. Not threatening, but I needed him to see that I WAS growing and maturing, and wanted to be with him but didn’t NEED him, or any person to fill my needs. I said, “I’m going to be on my own rolling by in money when I get that first public school teacher paycheck!” 😂 We married 2 1/2 years later when we both had steady paychecks!

Salina

Godddddd I want to comment on some of y’all’s takes but y’all said no spoilers so I can’t!!!! I love y’all can’t wait for y’all to catch up on the whole show 😂🤍

Brooke Neufer

My husband wanted to buy a four wheeler when we were in college, I told him I needed him to make a financial investment in me too! (A ring) 😂 He bought it in September, told my parents he wanted to wait until thanksgiving, they were like “you don’t have that much time!” 😆 I wanted to be with him, but made it clear I didn’t need him. So, 25 years together and 18 married, also still very happy!

Brooke Neufer

So he traded in the four wheeler long ago, and I still have mine on my finger 🥰

Salina

Temptation island is one of my new favorite shows I wish y’all covered it!!!

Honora Greenwood Rodriguez

I dated and lived with my current husband for 5 years before he proposed (I say current because I was married at 20 and divorced at 22. 2 1/2 year relationship!) When we first met, we had the kid discussion. I wanted them. He did eventually. If he said he didn’t want kids, we wouldn’t be together. It was a value thing for sure. And I did give a little bit of an ultimatum. I was 32 when we got married. The biological piece was the reason. It wasn’t to manipulate. I just needed to get moving on it. We’ve been married 10 years now and have two gorgie daughters. There was a ton of communication about it and we were both in our 30s at the time.

Jamie Fontenot

Hey y’all, it’s filmed in Austin! Thanks for covering this show.

Kelly Savoie Samora

Is it crazy?? I’m almost done and I don’t know what to think. I don’t like Colby, I do know that. 😂

Salina

Yes! The finale and reunion will definitely have you shook if you’re invested like I was hahah

Kate Blackburn

SISSYS IM ALWAYS HERE FOR A CHICAGO REFERENCE

Mariah Gallo

JAKE ANTHONY Rae was not “inferring” she didn’t trust Zay—she was implying she didn’t trust Zay. Jake could infer from her statement that she doesn’t trust Zay 😉

LadyPeif

YES! But im not too sure on this alexis is the age she says she is....lol

Reality Gays

That is SO true! Maybe it’s that feeling that the guy has lots of options but allows him to phrase it in that way…great point! — Poodz

Kristina

How in the whole show, did neither of you say Ultimatum like Kay from Caribbean love???!!! 🤣🤣

Natalie Duarte

I kept saying "ultimatum-tum" to myself throughout both viewing the show & listening to the podcast..! I'm right there with you! 😂

Gabrielle M

I love that show bc Mark died inside a long long time ago and still manages to "host" that show. Aka keep straight faces / absolutely zero emotion as people cry.

Leslie Pearlman

Buda is pronounced like the beginning of the word beautiful. Buda is Beautiful. Additionally Amy’s is an Austin gem and their slander is intolerable. Finally, Oreos in coffee ice cream is live. Thank you.

Nikki

I read that next season will be a mostly female all queer season. Although I hope they are older, I’m so here for it!!

Marisa Meno

Ever since watching Love in Paradise that is always how I pronounce ul-tee-mah-toom.

Nohemi Carreno

My spouse and I didn't want to have kids. Then I turned 30 and something switched. We talked about it and here we are 2 kids later.

Elizabeth

Rough episode - it’s a stupid show about stupid people. Please, queens, less bickering and more humor!

Rafaela

This dilemma was definitely more common among my friends after college. I felt like it was my next big step to find a husband. It was just something that I assumed needed to happen just like going to college after HS. I got engaged at 25, married at 27, had my first child at 28 and currently waiting for my divorce to be finalized! I felt seen with this show, I did not give an ultimatum put would have if he hadn’t proposed when he did.

Betsy

I'm old, so are my references. Here goes= Dollar Store Alana Hamilton Stewart.

Jolene

Alexis isn't real... Thats a producer couple...lol. My husband and I call her Producer Alexis.

Jolene

No way she's 25. Which adds to my belief that she's Producer Alexis.

Heather D.

I was thinking the same thing, but you articulated it much better than I could! Hypothetically (I am single), I feel like it would be worse for my partner to say “I will find someone else” rather than “I will move on from this relationship.” Just my gut reaction, but I appreciate the discussion on both sides of this topic.

Heather D.

OMG that is a great comparison 😂😂 I have been able to watch it from the perspective of, “Oh! That’s how I conceptualized love and relationships in college.” (I am 39. So it’s been eons since I was in that phase. And really, I’m watching it because I need seriously light TV right now lol!)

Heather Henry Brent

Amen! It's not necessarily an ultimatum; you know what you want, and if he's not on the same page, you need to leave the relationship and find it!

Tonya Beth

Unpopular opinion, I hate a dishwasher and would 100% rather wash by hand.

mess_this_blessica

Ok Colby is horrifying. There’s something sinister in his eyes as well as his obsession with trying to make women change their minds about what they want for their lives.

Kimberly Saginario

I gave an ultimatum once I learned that a woman stops producing collagen after 25 😆 we were college sweethearts and started working in NYC the day after graduation and commuted and lived together. But I told him when our 5 year anniversary rolls around he needs to propose or I’m just going to find some young rich guy on the train commute while I still have some collagen to speak of haha. Plus a married male co worker told me I need to give a boundary or my bf will just continue to live with me without a commitment. I actually don’t regret it either. We were married at 26, which seems young now, but I did not want to drag something out or wait around forever. We face challenges for sure and are kind of in the thick of it now but the issues we are going through don’t have much to do with the ultimatum. It’s more about mid life crisis. So: Together for 19 years Married 13 years Two houses, a career change each, two kids, and two doodles 🐩 🐩 I say give then ultimatum lol

Jennifer Riester

I binged the series on Saturday and am now going back and listening which is hysterical - knowing how it turns out!! I never thought of it but I guess I gave an ultimatium to my boyfriend when I was 28. I think when I said it I was half joking but I guess he took it seriously because he broke up with me two days after I finished the bar exam. I had a bunch of weddings that fall and made some joke about needing to be engaged after all that. Thankful he waited to until after I finished the bar exam. He did the right thing - we were not compatible in so many ways so I'm also thankful he did the hard thing.

Jilliann Gardner

Temptation Island is so much better than this show. The premise is good but the execution is all off.

Amy Diehl

Listening to you guys w out watching because this kind of show isn't my thing but I love you two! Im dying at the fact these ppl are in their 20s. Calm down you don't need to get married right now!! Like you said Mattie, it's not people who have been together 8 years!!

Amy Diehl

I married my first husband just because we were together for 4 years and we thought thats what you're supposed to do. Turns out that wasn't a good marriage! My current husband wanted to get married more than I did and we waited two years
