I'm with you on the balloons Poodle. When I was little I was always scared of blowing balloons too big and they would end up popping in my face! Same when people would make balloon art and I would just wait for them to make a mistake and have one of the balloons pop.

My brother had sensitive ears as a child. Our cousin who was his age loved to torture him. Her favorite way was with balloons which my grandparents had all the time (not sure why). She would rub it on the wall and squish it right near him and then drop it and then pick it up and continue the nonsense until she finally popped it which would cause my brother to go into hysterics. Fun times 🙄

No. When I lived in Williamsburg, VA I was at a charity event and an 85 year old woman asked me where my "people" were from. I said Alaska, where I was born, and that I wasn't from the South. She told me Virginia isn't the South. I'm going with her on that.

Venezuelan sissy living in the US here: the situation over there is a true nightmare. Professionals can barely afford basic necessities, which are often not even available (think early COVID toilet paper crisis with every single thing you need). I do understand Guillermo speaking about it in more nebulous terms because you need to compartmentalize some of that trauma in order to survive. I really like him already tho, and he is GORGEOUS
