Rae's dad said he was a DoD Vendor - which means he is in charge of producing something for them.... which could be machinery, like how Lockheed produces jets for the air force... Or it could mean he supplies something like the manufacturing of weapons a la Bling Empire Anna's dad. I have to imagine being a club promoter is the perfect escapism for Zay.

I'll go see The Judds with you, Mattie!!! Also, I am from Alabama-SOUTH ALABAMA and my best friend in high school got in trouble for dating a black guy in our class. Her family took her out of our school and sent her to a private school an hour away from us. Everyone once in awhile I will think about that and it makes me sooo sad. :(

I was the girl who was ostracized for dating a black guy. We lived in a small town in Arkansas. After if was discovered, not only was I ostracized but my whole family. Adults wouldn’t even make eye contact with my mother and step father. I was taken out of my school and put in a private school about 30 miles away from home. That summer my mother passed away so I had to go live with my dad. This was in 1990-1991.

I’m 31 from NC. There was a guy - hi Davey! I know you’re not on here! - who wouldn’t date me after finding out that I had dated Black guys before. It still happened then and I’m sure it’s still happening now. People are and will be trash until the end of time, unfortunately.

I had The Judds vhs tape that was all videos and it came with 3D glasses for “love can build a bridge”, and I remember my mom renting a pay per view box so I could watch their farewell tour 😂😂😂 I was (slash still am) obsessed with them!!!
