I feel for Zanab. Once I saw her stepmother and step brother were very lily White, I see the source of her issues. Since her biological parents passed away I wonder if she didn’t have anyone to connect with culturally. I don’t remember if she had a sister but I am glad she had a supportive mom who took care of her. I know some people have crazy things to say about Angelina Jolie but I have always loved how she adopted children of different races but made sure they stayed connected to their cultural roots. It’s so important. Especially living in a home where no one looks like you.

I actually went back and watched the other trailers because of this. I can confirm that in the trailer at the end of episode 4 every wedding is shown. They don't show all the brides/grooms but I am now so invested in this dumb show that I recognize the family members they show. Send help.

I just want her to dump him. She’s way too together to stay with someone as clueless as he is. I really hope production didn’t suggest that bartise bring up abortion for his family get together. Call me skeptical, but as problematic as he is, I can’t see that being front of mind for having his family come over. Regardless, it’s absolutely WRONG to bring up Nancy’s (or anyone’s) personal beliefs on abortion and what she would do with her OWN body to anyone else That was a conversation between the two of them and while yes, this would be shown eventually on tv after taping; it was not his family’s business at that time. I’ll add that Bartise saying women should have a “one time time pass” and that it’s OK if you’re young; and also saying he’s bought Plan B multiple times while also identifying initially as anti-abortion is the exact reason why there should be choice for women.
