Meet the Baby places are fairly newer. They are private and not covered by insurance. Normal, healthy pregnancies usually won’t have an ultrasound until 20 weeks when the doctor does the anatomy screening. You have to pay out of pocket for these Meet the Baby places. I think I paid $100-$150 for my ultrasound and pics from the place I went. Yes, usually people tell others after the first trimester, or 3 months, because the risk of miscarriage goes down. If I was Libby I wouldn’t care to tell my sisters or brother. They could find out through the grapevine. They won’t be genuinely happy for her so who cares about them?!?!

Poodles right about cooking v preparing because if you hire a babysitter or nanny they will differentiate between preparing food for the kid or cooking. The most I got from my Nannie’s was scrambled eggs haha. Anything past that is cooking 🍳

Ok I am not a Jenny Stan but I have been a white woman alone in India and it is terrifying. I’m brave and travel alone all the time but I NEVER went to a market or somewhere public alone out of pure fear. I always had a male companion. I felt bad for her.

I came to comment about these places too! They started popping up when the 3D sonogram tech was developed. 3D sonograms are those creepy AF looking colored "photographs" of the baby, as oppose to the traditional black and white sonogram. They don't have any medical significance cause doctors and radiologists see everything they need better with normal sonogram tech. But since some parents like to see what the baby looks like they started getting popular I think its nice that parents can go to these places for a scan whenever they want instead of waiting the 20 weeks. A healthy pregnancy typically only gets 2 scans throughout it and the urge to see more is definitely strong when you're going to be a parent. The 3D pics just creep me out!

Sumit did start working as a cook at a restaurant I think at some point either right before or during the pandemic. I remember a scene of him cooking after he got the job, and he seemed excited. That was pretty much it, they never spoke of it again until now. Or maybe it was a 90-Days Diary episode?

Yes! They are very creepy! I had the 3D one done, as well as, regular ultrasound. I hated that my doctor was only going to do the 20 week and one later on. I wanted one done earlier than 20 weeks so I went to a place like Meet the Baby. I think the 3D one had to be done after a certain month, but I don’t remember. I did do the 3D one at my doctors office, but I had to pay out of pocket for it, as well. It wasn’t medically necessary at all. It was just something extra offered. Honestly, I don’t feel like it showed me anything. Obviously I saw my baby, but it wasn’t this “wow” moment I was expecting, just kinda weird.
