y’all if you are still wanting to watch more sibling pathology, catch ‘Silent Twins,’ on Amazon Prime Video! wild

Jennifer Moseley

Watch along for Dancer in the Dark!! Woot woot!

Ari

Poodle mentioning Breaking the Waves sent me. I was deeply disturbed by that movie

Cris Sanchez

This was a very disappointing finale. Did anyone watch the episode that followed the finale with all the sisters doing a pillow talk on the season? I gave up after the first 2 minutes.

Jill

It’s finally up on Discovery Plus!!!! BRB binging the whole thing

Margaret

Any progress the medium could have made on the Aussie Twins was immediately destroyed by their mom.

Meghan Murphy

Scientifically enforceable poll: Would Mattie make a good doula? Y/N

Katie

Y’all are right, some shit went down with filming this show and it’s most evident in Randi & Jordan’s storyline bc of the missing wedding/honeymoon but ALL the storylines were fucking sparse. This season was also originally supposed to have 12 eps and it wasn’t even streaming on Discovery + when it released… wtf. I highly doubt we’ll be getting S3.

Dog mom

9lbs 8oz Poodle?!? Poor mother Poodle! I had twins and their combined weight was 9 lbs 8 oz

Mariel

I want you to be my doula!! If I ever decide I want kids 😂

Super Nova

big bjork fan and I can only rewatch that movie up to that certain point. Makes me sob uncontrollably

Margaret

HEAR ME OUT—- the psychic (Washington) twins are problematic for many reasons, but in the birth scene, there’s something about being SO overly comfortable with someone and typically embarrassing bodily functions that I am weirdly envious of. There’s no shame in their relationship with has its MANY cons but some pros.

Kelli Gunn

So am I wrong, or was the pooper scooper one of those little green aquarium nets?? I swear that's what I saw her using!

Whitney allen

Pooper scooper? That looked like a fishnet to me

Laura Vega

The whole thing destroys me, but the betrayal is the worst. Makes my stomach drop.

I watched Requiem for a Dream ONCE when it came out 20 years ago, and ASS-TO-ASS has lived rent-free in my head ever since. Not a week goes by without making a reference to it.

My first office job out of college was for a doula organization. I basically ran the mailroom. But fun fact: one of the doula's in our system was named Bunny Slaughter...

Mary

I lost interest in this season in the first couple episodes. I just listen to the podcasts.

Jasmine Robinson

LMAO as a doula, it’s not super imperative to yank the baby out of the water right as they come out. Depending on the midwife and the birth plan etc etc, baby can slowly emerge from the water to air.

Jasmine Robinson

ALSO Mattie doulas do not touch the clients in a medical capacity so while you would have to look at *vullllvaaas” you would never have to touch one.

Jasmine Robinson

Anybody think John is a great hugger? My god I felt that hug on my couch😭

Beth

As much as I disliked this season I’m sincerely going to miss hearing about Dr Downey.

DJ Nightshade

Mattie is right, you don’t need to excessively rush to take the baby out of the water. They don’t inhale until they hit the air. It’s the same reflex that apparently prevents them from inhaling milk.

I definitely understand your point about the importance of “normalizing” and taking the shame/embarrassment out of every-day bodily functions. Their relationship is concerning for many reasons, but I do appreciate this aspect of body positivity, although it can be jarring at times!

Celeste Sekigahama

I appreciate Mattie calling out the "Pang Pang" twins for her sister saying she's giving birth in a "goddess" way. As a women who has gone through pregnancy and labor there are definitely people who will shame you for not making the most "natural" choice. There is no prize for giving birth without pain medicine and it does not make you a bad mother if you choose to have it. It feels like barbaric puritanical shit that women should HAVE to suffer to bring life into the world.
