I think Armando’s scene with his mom, and him telling her that he considered suicide because they wouldn’t accept him as gay and how isolated he felt may be the whole reason Kenny and Armando decided to do the show. So important to highlight this.

As much as hollandaise is literally translated as Dutch sauce, it’s origins are all French like most sauces. It was the one sauce that “broke” me in culinary school. And I find it’s a love or hate relationship with people and hollandaise…. And I could listen to the Tay Tay clueless Schtick ALL day. I could literally hear the silence seething of Poodle through my AirPods.

Mary’s feeding was very triggering for me. I’m Filipino and culturally when it comes to food / weight / looks… Filipinos are just so all over the place. When you’re little, they want you to be chubby but when you get older you have to be skinny. And when greeted it usually begins with “wow, you look chubby!” I’m worried Mary is going to fatten him up and then turn around and tell him he’s too fat. I HOPE that is not the case.

I went to the Seattle show with 50$ cheap seats behind the stage (due to the thoughtfulness of a friend who bought two extra) and it was really fun, but you better believe I’m signed up to try and get tickets for the new shows next year - trying to get better seats for one of the NOLA shows!

Matty so casually talking about going to see TayTay stirred a quiet rage inside of me. “You should see this show”….as if it’s so easy. Not like I desperately refreshed my phone for 2 minutes before the tickets were sold out. Not like I tried to find resale tickets and the cheapest ones were $1,600 each. Not like I tailgated outside the stadium with a thousand other people listening from the parking lot.

Here to weigh-in even more about the pizza BS. Poodle is right, you can find pizza, GOOD pizza in nearly every country. But furthermore you can find NY pizza in other countries too. There’s excellent NY pizza restaurants in Bali & Seoul for example that are better than most I had in NY during my 3 year stint there. He’s full of it. They even had a NY pizza restaurant in Florence fucking Italy. Not to mention the best southern fried chicken in Florence too 😭 He may have traveled the world, but he’s far from worldly. This is why I continue to explain to people that travel is a skill…one that most folks don’t have! Even those who do it often.

I want to push back a little on what Poodle says about Kimberly knowing what’s expected of her. TJ has told us that he hasn’t fully told her how things will be. When she lived there, she was an American tourist in her on. She wasn’t living with his family. I think TJ could easily have been playing both sides with her and his family for that time. Not saying she’s not entitled or playing victim a bit, but I’m giving her the benefit of being a bit ignorant about how she’ll live because he may have been letting her believe it could be different.
