The way Savannah’s BF Jake has aged while incarcerated is something else, he looks like he’s been there for 25 years! I agree his sentence was pretty stiff, considering whom he’d robbed. Love AFTER LU next month is bringing back Melissa, Louie, and his mom and I can’t wait!!

Pow-wows are actually big events in the indigenous community (at least in the Northeast.) My co-worker travels around with her family to different pow-wows to perform dances and showcase her artwork. They seem like fun community reunions.

It is sad to say that the truth of our history of the treatment of the American Indian as well as other minority groups is a dark reminder of injustice in this country that continues to this day. I cried as I read the book. I hope I can handle the movie.
