Honestly, I believe Uche only slightly more than Lydia. Yes, I see the love bombing, but I still think there are some unflattering things Uche hasn’t told us. Side note: Queens, I woke up at 3 a.m. and just HAD to listen to your thoughts.

I think production set up the Uche and Aaliyah meeting. But how humiliating for Aaliyah to have Uche be able to berate her not only in the pods but in person too. Production is not doing a good job of redeeming themselves this season.

I feel there is truth on both sides. Men that try to paint women as “crazy but yet can’t leave them alone tell on themselves. I believe Uche and Lydia were never in a committed relationship just FWB but they don’t want to admit that on tv. If he is “scared” of her stalking him he wouldn’t have got back together with her to “protect” her. Nah the crazy sex was good and that’s all the two of them had in common.

I actually like Stacey. Why is Izzy keeping a “lost and found” drawer of mementos of women he banged?? It seemed very immature to me. Let go my guy! It reminded me of when I was in college and guys would keep random things of girls they would hook up with. She was right about that with him. It came off very fucboish of him.

Did they say how long ago Izzy and his fiancé broke up? Maybe he doesn’t have proper cups/plates because his ex took them. I also kind of understood his side of not cleaning out the drawer. We don’t know if he was being filmed before she showed up - so maybe he worried that if he threw things out, they’d show that. Not an Izzy apologist, but I fully expect a straight man under 30 to not have his apartment be perfect. It’s more of a surprise when it’s clean and doesn’t have a sink full of dishes.

Uche, picking up where he left off with Aaliyah, then goes after Lydia verbally. I can’t stand him! He’s the ultimate gaslighter. “LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE TO ME!!!!” Excuse me sir?? Cautiously, I’m leaning toward team Lydia, even though I know she’s cray cray. Uche is pulling things out of his arse to prove his point. He’s so condescending to women. What gave him the idea he could go to that get-together and go off on Lydia?? And THEN, he basically tells Milton to get lost because he wants to continue the verbal diarrhea with Lydia. 😤 I’m glad Lydia walked away, even if she was guilty of Uche’s accusations. He deserved that. He’s 33 and acts 17.

What in the serial killer hell is with Izzy collecting trinkets from women he's f*cked in that lost & found drawer? And a grown man without plates in his house? Even the laziest college guys I knew had plates. Yikes. This is probably a somewhat controversial thing to say. We talk sometimes about how black women on reality tv often have to be careful not to fall into the 'angry black woman' trope which is absolutely true (& I definitely identify with as a black woman), but I feel like there is also a conversation which needs to be had about how dating based reality shows in particular, choose to cast and edit black men (especially if they end up dating white women). I watch A LOT of reality tv, and my base assumption is that every single person that chooses to go on these shows is some kind of creep or douchebag. I mean EVERYONE. But after years of watching I can't help but feel that there is a tendency in casting & editing to play on the fact that society conditions people to be inherently suspicious of blackness, and black men especially; even more so in a romantic/sexual context. There will be literal domestic abusers on these shows who are edited for us to be less creeped out by them than black or brown people. The Uche & Lydia of it all aside, I have no idea wtf is happening there, but the examples of reality show seasons that don't put black/brown people in a villain/ red herring villain role are few & far between and it's starting to feel gross. LIB included. It’s also ridiculous that the show continues to pretend that race plays no role in the couplings. I’m sure it’s just a huge coincidence that very few black women make it out of the pods and outside of Lauren & Cameron they only ever end up with black partners. No way that America, where the overwhelming majority of white people don’t have a single black friend would pick up on race in their pod dates. It’s even more obvious in the Brazilian version of the show.

Izzy did not want to clear the air. He wanted to shit on Johnie and then immediately ran over to Stacy like a cat presenting a dead bird to its owner. The wording he used. “I RAILED her!” while laughing at how pleased he was with himself. Is Johnie a great person? Meh. Was the ENTIRE little lecture Izzy gave her completely unnecessary? Yes. It changed who he was to the viewer. Petty and nasty and bullying and WEAK (he wouldn’t have done it if Stacy weren’t there). I hope Mattie and Poodle can see it too and don’t defend or dismiss that sort of despicable behavior.

1000%. It was the same weird conversation with Lydia in Mexico. That conversation felt fake until now. He doesn’t like these women moving on and being OK without him. He has to run them down/soothe their feelings or whatever he needs to do to feel like the better person who made the “right” choice. And Stacey - cause she’s self aware - could see it and was rightly irritated by it.

💯 they are all garbage. The way Izzy was vibrating through his conversation with Johnie was creepy to me. Johnie sucks in a lot of ways but the way he talked to her didn’t sit well with me, and I can’t help but think if he looked different people would be responding very differently to his energy. Then there’s Captain USA JP, he scares me more than any of the other overt douche bags because he’s exactly the kind of guy that society is designed to give the benefit of the doubt. They skate by with a simmering creepiness until they snap. I went to boarding school with too many guys like him.

Uche is a very dangerous and unsafe person. I’ve been with a person like him, and this triggered me and almost brought me to tears. He wanted to control this narrative down to breaking things off after completely tearing this woman down. He’s not safe. Sis deserves better than this. I find it horrible that Uche told Aaliyah that she was crazy for thinking that Lydia signed up for the show because of Uche....but then he confronts Lydia at the party about it. Also, I hate that there's only 2 couples, I can't stand Stacy and Lydia and Milton I feel like are a joke

I’d have been a lot more skeptical of his so called ‘receipts’ if Lydia hadn’t come back with, ‘I don’t know how the Instagram algorithm works.’ I can’t take the idea that the algorithm just organically led her to view the stories of all the women that he followed seriously.
