Yikes!! James Milton’s mum knows Izzy’s credit score. She knows all our secrets, because her family is part AI.

Alexandra MacQueef

Jeff Stryker!!! My wasband is a voiceover guy and did the spot for the “Jeff Stryker Monster Cock with the suction cup base that mounts to any non-porous surface.”

Candy Beck

Gus’s Fried Chicken is in Burbank and it is THE BEST

Alexandra MacQueef

Damn right. So is the place where “they” filmed the lunar landing LOLOLOL. It’s right there on the WB lot.

Suzanne P

Omg Cleets! I went to space camp and this is making me sad for you Matty

Jennifer Whelan

“Sally McBride, Martina McBride’s bitchy cousin.” I’m dying. 😂😂😂

Val McCue

Lydia’s brother reminds me of the Addams Family baby all grownup…and gaaaayyy.

Ebonie Porch

As a native Houstonian yall…. I’m Not surprised that there’s only 2 couple…. This dating pool was awful when I was in it. Chileeee 😂🤣

Laura Williams

Poodle don't shame people with bad credit or choose to not have credit. That's ugly dude

Jenn

I feel like that scene with the credit card didn’t actually happen the night after the NASA date. It was too scripted. That date ended and I thought to myself, “wow…that really ended on a nice note…what are the odds that there was a fight afterwards?” Cue the credit card scene. When it’s predictable, it’s time to mix things up and change the formula for the show.

Jessica K

Lol Izzy packing his suitcase

I think people are misreading Milton’s family just like Zack was misread last season. They might be a little intense, but they’re mostly just weird, and serious people. Zach is weird, but fine, and people acted like he was a murderer! And Milton’s mom only wanted to know where Lydia was from for background check purposes 😂

Mina Friberg

Nah, not only we’re they grilling Lydia in a very rude way (fair enough though) but the way Milton has spoken about his upbringing and family dynamic it’s clear they have always put enormous pressure on him and have kept love conditional. “Strict” is really a code for emotionally abusive, and it never leads to very emotionally available adults which is case in point with Milton. Feels like the kind of family were the kids would have to call the dad “sir”, gives me the creeps

Patti

Mattie you were right about Stacy’s townhouse. It’s definitely in Montrose. They drove by a bar I recognized and she commented that it was walking distance from her house. She also used daddy’s money to buy it because that house easily costs $400-500k before renovations.

MicaS

I feel like the bad editing is disrespectful to us, the audience. Like they think we’re too clueless/stupid to notice.

Em

It might be really petty of me, but Lydia’s constant extreme side parted hair drives me crazy 😂 like why the full combover all the time

Alexandra MacQueef

Agree with this 100%. Our sisters and brothers who practice Islam (in general; and now 1/5 of the global pop) do not use credit cards that charge interest as it is haram to enter into any agreement in which a ‘riba’ (penalty… ipso facto interest) is assessed if payment is late.

Lynn

Stacy is going to say NO!!

Jamie Fontenot

Cullen hall of gems and minerals is at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, one of the loveliest places in Houston to visit.

Guys, I just realized we’ve all been bamboozled. So, of course I’m down this rabbit hole of re-watching love is blind and looking for cues three minutes into the first episode. I realize they all are in the same room in the beginning. Lydia and Uche saw each other. This is all a lie.

Hannah Gray

Not to stand up for Izzy at all lol. But didn’t he say he left the Jehovah’s Witness faith? That could explain why he doesn’t have much family at the wedding

Moy

I hate everyone in this season, and am actually kind of starting to hate the whole show altogether. Production has lost sight of what made the show interesting in the first place. There’s plenty of drama in the fact that you’ve got people who don’t know each other trying to make a relationship work within the insane constraints of the show, it doesn’t need all of the influencer wannabe casting. At this point it’s just a competition to stay on the show long enough and it’s hard to get invested in a bunch of people who are obviously plastered using a bunch of word salad to convince themselves that they care about someone.

I recommend gaining more insight into the middle class/formally educated black family dynamic. The built in strictness and high expectations from the family usually are based on survival and coping in a racist country. The effects of over-control are real, and I and my partner are learning boundaries with our parents who used these intense techniques. We have also talked to our respective parents about how they can rest and be less concerned with appearances. But we are also old enough and have lived in this country long enough to understand why our parents and older siblings felt compelled to provide structure and critique to arm us against a world that is way harsher to us and our bodies than they ever could be. These trauma responses pass down from generation to generation. I recommend checking out some of the black podcasts and how they cover Milton's family before passing judgment.

Val McCue

This! 👆🏽 The fact that all these cast couples had seen previous seasons of the show, makes them more conditioned on how to act and what to say, ZERO credibility! I think this show has jumped the shark.

Val McCue

I think Milton / James’ family - specially his sister- had the most genuine, normal reaction to this whole “experiment”, the whole premise is just nuts. I’m Hispanic, my family would had had absolutely nothing to do with this nonsense. Love is not blind!

Carey Addis

Poodle shames everyone. He’s an equal opportunity shamer. It’s part of his charm.

Carey Addis

I don’t understand why they don’t show Carter and Renee? Everyone loves Renee. They cut them out of Mexico even though they were there. They even cut her out of the wedding dress shopping when she was there with her mom to get a dress! They edited it to look like she was there with Lydia, but she was there for herself!!! Renee and Carter can’t be any worse than any of these other people, right?!?!

Carey Addis

Haha. I just listened to your collab episode. Matty said Renee had a secret boyfriend. I guess they CAN be worse. I was way off!

Lisa Paulk

I met my husband when I was 18 in 1997 on Yahoo chat!

Nikki

Love is Blind was actually a fun show at first but now it’s just clout chasers looking for their 15 minutes of fame. I already know of one of the engaged cast members from this season who will be on the next season of Perfect Match. There was an article I read about Deepti and Natalie from Season 2. They said they make so much money from their podcast and being influencers that they quit their jobs. I think I wouldn’t mind the thirsty cast members if it was at least entertaining. This show has truly jumped the shark.

Holly Ellis

Mattie and Poodle, I MET KWAME! I just moved to Seattle and I walked past him on the street. He was outside the local vet with their dog. Chelsea was inside. THEY WERE WEARING MATCHING TRACKSUITS (or just both wearing gray tracksuits but from watching the show matching seems more likely). He was really nice, we spoke for about 10 minutes about Ghana because I grew up there. At the end he shook my hand and said I’m Kwame it’s nice to meet you. Which is odd because I obviously knew who he was? I figure they must live in the area so I might run into them again.

Bobson Dugnutt

But that would be a fucking incredible plotline though!! I guess they thought the secret boyfriend thing would compromise the integrity of the ~Experiment~

Molly Kreutzfeldt

are we going to glaze over the fact that Izzy pronounces he "B" in Debt?

Dunni

Milton’s family didn’t say anything to be painted as xenophobic/potentially racist. She said “oh I hear an accent” but in a getting to know Lydia kind of way, not in a “ew scary foreigner” way. Milton’s family seems to be upper middle class, with some respectability politics maybe, but you’re painting them as some scary awful belittling family. I think it’s normal to be concerned about how two families who don’t know each other will connect, and his mom said he’s always leaned on her so I’m not surprised they’re confused why their “big baby” went and made a big decision without them 🤷🏽‍♀️

Nikki

True…Milton’s sister, Jessica is an attorney and Milton although educated and successful is her immature baby brother. I also blame production for settling up this family to be dragged and called xenophobic when they are not. Jessica has also been on social media to say they were very welcoming to Lydia but that part was not shown.

Dunni

totally agree with you! as the youngest sibling and someone who consults my mom for minor life decisions, I think my family would react similarly. it was obvious to me that there was a lot of editing going on this season

Jeida Mitchell

According to the internets some ish went down with them. And he was threatening the show about releasing their story. Apparently he was horrible and the rumor mill is also saying she was in a serious relationship at the time. Because she got married in March.

Jeida Mitchell

The behind the scenes on this season is wild! And a real mess. They need to stop rushing production and take time to cast the show.

Chelsea Raycraft

I heard there was a fifth couple that was completely cut out of the show. The woman is now suing the production company.

Scott Stodelle

Haha I used to drive from San Diego to San Clementine when I was in my mid 20’s to hook up with this woman in her late 30. As the boys would say she was part of my sexual awakening. I also meet her in an AOL chat.

Jeida Mitchell

I was also so confused why they didn’t give us a talking head summarizing the fight. I was very confused.

Jess

Honestly that was the most offensive part of this episode 😆

Jess

To add onto the CC discussion, I have friends who won’t use credit bc they know they can’t control their spending if they can’t see it physically happening. So just a thought as to why Izzy might not use cards

Jen

Thank you for saying it!! Credit shaming is so classist. The credit system is a scam in broad daylight. It actively punishes anyone who chooses not to use credit cards and keeps people in a cycle of poverty by jacking up rent prices based on scores. It’s the height of white privilege to shame people based on their credit score.

Carey Addis

My financial advisor told me at 20 years old to use physical cash as much as possible because it creates a chemical response in your brain. It helps you develop a healthy fear of debt when you can physically see your money dwindling with each purchase. It helps you be mentally present in each purchase when you have to count out bills and change, so you don’t develop mindless spending or overspending.

Julianne

Poodz, I’m coming for you. OU has a pretty solid space program. My cousin’s grandfather got his PhD in rocket science (or aeronautical engineering? Idk who gives a 💩) from there, and was a major player in the industry. He’s also in the Oklahoma hall of Fame, which is apparently a thing! No, we’re not from OK. I actually live down the street from MIT, just had to back Mattie on this 😃

Amy Diehl

I was over Milton already when he wore that hoodie to the dinner and had his damn SHOES ON THE BED the episode after 🤣🤣
