I thought it was pretty creepy how much AD’s body became the center of conversation. Many of the people involved in the “stacked” and “bean dip” conversations should’ve apologized to her. Laura really turned me off with her behavior.

I rewatched the Bean Dip scene….this time fully sober…Jeramy absolutely knew what bean dipping was by the time he told Clay about it. He made it very clear, however, that it was Laura’s suggestion and he had no intention of doing it. Clay actually did not get very upset. He was kinda confused at first. Then he seemed a bit weirded out. He didn’t think it was funny, but he was not angry. Laura, like most people that use sarcasm as a shield, seems incredibly sensitive to any criticism. She acted like she was in trouble. She thought Clay was making it into a big thing. He wasn’t. She got very defensive and angry, also what sarcastic people do when they feel embarrassed. Jeramy had no reason to bring it up though. I think he thought it was funny and everyone would laugh at it and think Laura was edgy and funny. When he saw that everyone thought it was weird he did not defend her much. He kinda threw her under the bus.

Not done with this episode yet but, Chelsea is so— what's called in Spanish "pesada," in Hebrew "kvedah," both of which literally mean "heavy," but in English it means something like needy: "What's your usual type?" "What did you notice first about me?" "Do you have a doubt in your mind?" "Just want to make 1000% sure that you made the right decision." etc... ENOUGH!! Shut up already!

I had a different take on both the stacked and the bean dip conversations. CHELSEA was the orchestrator of that entire thing. I felt Jimmy was just trying to have a private little gossip moment with his wife, and Chelsea’s insecurity sent that train all the way off the tracks by now involving AD and making Jimmy’s comment public… made ERRYBODY uncomfortable. I felt that Jimmy went to talk to AD to smooth the situation over and save face… not to flirt. But he kinda made things even worse with his awkward ass… the best thing he did was talk about his wife. AD flirts with every man, especially in situations like this. It’s her superpower. I don’t fault her for it. LAURA was completely out of line telling Jeramy to bean dip AD, I don’t care if it was a joke; it’s one thing if she bean dipped AD herself, that wouldn’t have bothered me, but telling Jeramy to- even as a joke- was in very poor taste. And at the end, who still had to clean it up? AD. Unfortunate behavior.

I’m so sick of the objectification of black women’s bodies. It was gross to hear Jimmy, Clay, and Laura do and say things thinking it’s okay or all in good fun over AD’s body. AD is a beautiful woman, and it’s sad this generational trauma continues to this day. We have seen many people on this show cross lines during the group vacation. AD never allowed it to be anything but a friendly conversation. Whether she meant to flirt or not, she did nothing over the line. Imagine if Chelsea was engaged to Kwame when he met Micah. Or with Cole when he met Colleen. She would’ve gone ballistic! She was not made for this situation!

And, a white man making comments about a Black woman’s body who he is not romantically involved with is fucking ignorant and wrong. Laura using AD, the ONLY Black woman, as a setup to embarrass Jeramy made me furious. The history - and current- extremely harmful stereotypes of oversexualizing and abusing a Black woman’s body, including what slave owners used to do (ahem, White cast members), is truly heinous and harmful.
