The pod scene with Trevor and Chelsea was SO INCREDIBLY PAINFUL to watch. We were watching one person with emotional intelligence who cared about the other one, and one sad, desperate, emotionally stunted person who said yes to the wrong person because she would have said yes to anyone, and couldn't even say why. And Trevor KNEW IT! I screamed when he asked her if she would have said yes to him if he had asked her first. It was so incredibly fucked up and pathetic and sad. I dislike Chelsea more with every episode.

I’m just at the beginning of this episode but I wish Chelsea would stop with the “I’m so sweaty” “I’m going to 🤢 throw up” etc…

I think one of the reasons the people on this show feel these intense feelings for each other in such a short time is that they’re sleep deprived, friend/ family deprived, probably smart phone deprived, maybe sunlight deprived. The sleeping quarters are probably no great shakes because they want to encourage them to stay in the lounges and they’re on camera for many hours a day. A lot of it is never shown but they don’t know beforehand what is and isn’t, so you’re constantly on edge. And in the lounge you often have to watch your back. The pods and those journals may be the only opportunity to breathe. So it’s not surprising that they end up talking a lot and feeling deeply for each other.

Jessica did an interview w “we’ve got the receipts” Netflix podcast - she said she realized in retrospect that she and Jimmy didn’t “go deep” which is why her daughter didn’t come up right away and why conversations with him felt easy and relaxing
