About the Bruiser-Spektra Fight... (Patreon)

Hey everyone! I'm currently upscaling the fight animation for Bruiser and Spektra's Redemption Match. I know I polled yesterday and it seemed people wanted the ending to be Bruiser killing Spektra but this was a fight where I as a creator had to intervene to change the outcome and for good reason. (This is also why I only released a poll for Executions and not match outcome for this match).

The reason I made this a Spektra win is because as the brackets close into quarterfinals and semi-finals, and especially with Redemption Matches, I don't want all the female characters killed off. This is because a big part of the appeal of Bloodblade is in the designs and the female characters, and were they all to die in the early brackets, it would cause a patron retention problem by the time we reach semifinals and finals where it's only M-M fights left. I know this override may be upsetting for some, but keep in mind a system has to be sustainable, especially on Patreon where I don't have bonus content or Finisher Theaters. But at least we get to see Spektra's "Ascension" Execution (it came out great in the animation) and her pulse powered flight move.

This means Spektra has a chance to "ascend" back into the brackets, having won her Redemption Match. Bruiser is out of the tournament. Spektra, Tamora, Yamoja, and Akira have thus far survived Redemption, and the next Redemption Match will feature Deringer vs. Stalker, and Ming Hua vs. the loser of the Chloe-Aygun match. We will also see the loser of the Ghoul-Eviscerator match face Nightmare. The winners of these matches will then face one another, and then have a chance at facing the bracket winner ahead of the Belial championship match.
