ill reply using comments from other sites, so here we go: As using the sticks, your magic energy reserve doesn't matter, but your output is the max of the original capability. (me: this is like having a sink faucet, but u have an ocean of reserves) By forcing other systems in the body to pass through energy, the output is dramatically increase. Illya here while being sealed, she was originally being born as a grail, her output is top class. With the boost, she can even rival a weakened version of Enuma Elish. (me: this is like having that faucet to be replaced by a pressure washer) Yes, Gil here is actually greatly weakened so Illya has a chance. Yes it has a very plot device vibe lol. (me: a card is generally weaker than a true servant, its because they summon the servant as a projection and then install them on themself, thats why the servants in season 1 are mindless, gilgamesh instead of being summoned mindless "ego is too huge for that, he can break out of the mindless limiter", they weakened his power and then put shackles on his card to be able to summon him, thats why he is the child gil. ) Well this what I seen on Fandom but, Quintett Feuer's power is comparable to the light of a planet and was able to defeat the Blackened Gilgamesh's Enuma Elish, and although Gil is amazed his attack failed, he claims that being only partially incarnated meant he could only do so much. (me2: thats why he is weaker here, he got limited to oblivion: he has half incarnation, half og capacity, and half power cuz he was a child) Soo that it's soo cool right even if Gil can't used Full Power of Enuma Elish, but Quintett Feuer's literally can rival it. Maybe it also possible because Ruby and Sapphire is a mystic code who Zelretch made it. and this are the events that progressed: Gil fires Enuma Elish (the world-rupturing wind vortex). Illya counters with Quintet Fire — her full-powered magical barrage/volley of fire/energy blasts. The sheer volume and intensity of her output overpowers and tears through Ea's attack, shredding the shadow form and reducing Gil back to the kid version. Key lore reason (stated by Gil himself after): He was only half-incarnated (shadow + kid half fused, corrupted/blackened state). Full Gilgamesh Ea would have been unstoppable, but the incomplete incarnation ranked it down significantly, letting Illya's cheat-mode attack match and overwhelm it. added comments: btw illya should be severely crippled rn, but the anime mitigated her overall dmg in the end, her recovery time was long. but ruby does increase her healing properties. in the next season, illya wont be able to use that form again because of how taxed her body was and still is, and even then, her magic circuits are a wreck, if she tries that again, she might be dead before she can even fire a quintet fire is the consensus between ruby and sapphire in the manga

The prologue ended and we finally enter the true endgame!! In the manga "2rei" ends here and the "3rei" manga starts with little changes (that I hate that they cut out to give a "happy ending"). Fate/Kaleid has 3 mangas with 3rei being the longest. I didn't really know that manga could have different seasons until then, it probably did it to change the demographic? I say that becase from here on the manga art changes drastically (in a good way, every 3rei manga panel is a treat giving even some creepy vibes) and so does the plot. Also while it wasn't show here Illya after that transformation and attack was out of commission for like, weeks. her entire body was in shambles to the point that even breathing was threatening to her life, if not for ruby unlimited mana flow and constantly pulling out healing spells at the very least Illya would have become a cripple or have necrosis in a limb but thankfully it just ended with her being very VERY bad and unable to use that form again for life if she didn't want to break apart but in the anime they changed it to give a happy ending. Also, something very important to know, unlike the Gilgamesh who seals their clairvoyance because of their ego and hate of seeing them losing, kid gil doesn't do this and in fact often uses it with people when he first meet them.
