Now that the fun palate cleanser arc is done, onto the emotional and serious shit again!

Buddy

if you had read norse myths you will see that the myths are... unique, to say the least, like, how loki transformed into a female horse, a male horse felt attracted to him and then he became pregnant with that horse because he found it hilarious... so yeah, norse myths are... really something. in this case, in one fo the hundred of tales there was one where thor lost his hammer after the king of ice giants took it, then with it the ice giant asked freiya hand in marriage but she refused, loki then found the (amusing) great idea that if thor transformed into her and were to ask the ice giant to become her husband he would be able to access his tresury and he would get the hammer back, at this, thor thought that Loki was a genius, transformed into a girl, went to the giant and asked his hand in marriage (while loki was crazy laughing) but then thor almost blew his cover because he ate like an animal eating a whole ox, salmon and drank like a teeneger with loose parents, thankfully Loki was able to cover for him with clever excuses. then when they were going to kiss (the ice giant with thor transformed in freiya) he jumped back seeing "freiya" fire eyes, again loki was able to cover for him, then finally after kissing and all, the ice giant brought the hammer back and put it in her lap as a sign of love and trust, then thor laughed his ass off, grabbed the hammer transfoming himself back into him and went on a rampage killing everything around making Loki break his ass laughing, finally the hammer came back and the story ended. as you can see this took a lot of that story with the legends of king arthur, it was a good saga and I highly recommend reading some myths because I don't know why but almost all the myths are funny af, like, all the norse myths starts because Loki was really, really bored. (I am not lying, the myth of medb from the celtic mtyths end with her literally dying because someone throw a fking cheese at her with such force that it ended up killing her on the spot haha)

Kirito tossed the sword because it was too heavy, as a non-owned item, to jump over with. So, it was die holding a sword that he didn’t own, or give it up, and live to finish the day.

Bravo! Bravo!!! As a mythology geek, I am so grateful that you shared such jovial info here. Yeah, the Norse myths are general quite silly where Loki had a hand in them. I’m more educated in Greek and Roman mythology, but honour with the Asatru these days, so it’s best to know the stories.

This wasn’t just palette cleanser. This arc set up a lot of the base knowledge to give viewers a deeper idea of what the Cardinal System is capable outside of “just gaming,” even after Kayaba is “gone.”

16:40 You’re a little silly assuming that there was just more to this quest that no one had any idea about. This is still just supposed to follow game logic, and they were told, “Destroy the Ice Castle by pulling Excalibur, and the world will be saved.” This music should have only seemed like fanfare to the victory. It’s like the “puppy” thing…Lolwat?

TheErisianMonk

Yes, they were talking about the Death Gun incident.

TheErisianMonk

Do that worry. You can take everything too seriously going forward from where you currently are, and it’ll work out. Plenty of heartache and lives on the line in the future. ♥️

Your post-episode research makes commenting feel unnecessary…. Lolz. I have to say, I appreciate a reacter ACTUALLY understanding the plot so clearly means…far more than is reasonable. I just see entire shows get watch, and the reacter has wrong ideas the whole time because they didn’t gaf.
