Capt'n Ren

The characters in this show all feel so human. We get to see their flaws and their regrets and it makes them so much more relatable.

Ashamdon

You have to keep in mind that Paul, at the time of Rudy's birth, is 19. He is barely an adult himself and got a son that is basically a decade older, lol. I think he struggles to actually fulfill his role as a father, and in part feels like his 5 year old son is more mature than he is, probably hard on his ego, so he resorts to physical superiority the one time he tries to be the strict dad. Rudy also struggles with the role of a son, obviously, having parents that are basically half his age. It is bound to confuse people, and people that are confused like to lash out. On that note, hitting a kid is never right, though, duh.
