Let’s go

LinkedHero

That attack on Zoro was way more devestating in the anime

rokitup

been a while since that chapter review fam!

Saleem Ali

But it made more sense in the manga. Zoro took it for like 5 seconds

Busta Riggz

Tbf khan I let the hype take over too much but watching it back it really did seem too much because that attack from TWO yonkos which seemed to have some crazy haki inbedded in the attack aswell. Way too much fam.

Joseph

Man I hope one day you switch to manga, you deserve to experience the real one piece from Oda.

Joseph

Toei are trying their best but no matter what, the aura shit is becoming too much for one piece, this is not dragon ball fam!

rokitup

I think you're really overreacting to the zoro block in anime vs manga khan. if u notice the white rectangle right after zoro blocks the attack, that represents a tiny timeskip... that means zoro spent quite a lot of time blocking it in manga as well. those types of empty blocks in anime always represent some amount of time skipped. Besides, Idk why people would think a combined yonkou attack doesnt pack so much power that it requires that much time to block

Mel

They litterally said it was for a second in the manga

Mel

No doubt Khan, anime is a different version of the manga, i would've suggested you jump to the manga today but in a couple of weeks a great staff are working on the episodes so wait till then

Matt

I've always said a good fan is one who can call out a series they love when they do some BS. It's the Fanboy who defends everything no matter what, and fanboys are the worst part of every fanbase.

rokitup

u missed the rectangle block which represents a tiny timeskip, meaning that zoro blocked it for a longer time in the manga too.

rokitup

who said?

Matt

Oda makes his fair share of mistakes, but my problem with the anime is that it'll multiply those mistakes 10 fold lmao.

MartiNReacTs

can one of the mods please tell this message to khan please... how he says all the time that the story continues after this page and he is waiting for anime... "just go and read 1-2 chapters... it's not a big deal. See for yourself which you prefer. Also would be good to see how you feel about the anime if you read the adapted chapter before watching anime."

rokitup

the direct translation was "brief moment", not a literal second

Uta

KINGBEN

It is a shame what Toei is doing with the anime right now. I think Khan should move to the manga to enjoy the story more.

KingStation314

I hope Khan gonna read the Manga he could still enjoying the anime as well....

Diviciv

I checked the original japanese for you. He says 一瞬 which would literally translate as one blink of an eye. Or more liberally as one moment/instant.

Zanarkand

they really "wasted" good animation on a filler scene with no importance, like what?

Ameer

If khan ever switches to reading manga someone should show him the colored versions of the chapters. It makes reading one piece a lot more enjoyable. readonepiece.com/manga/one-piece-digital-colored-comics/

MartiNReacTs

I disagree... most manga are better black and white, the only exception to this rule is JoJo, because colors add so much to the experience.

Potato

khan said he wants to know when one piece goes in final arc.. lmao anyone going to tell him?

its_sullay_man

Khan, if you don’t want to get spoiled for end of story stuff, it may be time to consider changing over to the manga. I wouldn’t continue the anime past the end of the summer. I’d suggest doing a poll to see if others agree.

Shockzz1234

That tiny rectangle block definitely doesn't indicate a small timeskip lol. It's a flash of light from the attack right before it explodes.

Jajoe

I agree with the other commentator. This is a piece of literature which gets adapted into an animated form. HERE IS THE HOT TAKE: It is okay to criticize it. It will have mistakes, it will have inconsistencies, retcons, not every stone on the floor is foreshadowing and so on. Nothing of this should matter to you if you enjoy it, it doesn't make you a hater if you admit it. Heck this series goes over a decade, it is quite remarkable actually.

Jajoe

My issue with the anime is not the animation, but the many directorial choices. I for example, absolutely despise the addition of Aura and DBZ sound effects, it cheapens OP for me by a lot. But many people seem to like it, since they mistake it for good animation, so i guess that's why Toei is doing it.

Razyel22

The aura stuff is fine, it’s just the pacing of everything. 1015 had plenty of aura moments, but they were quick and didn’t drag for half an episode like a DBZ blast.

Jajoe

Yeah the timing of Khan saying that is perfect xD

Ray

for everyone begging for Khan to jump on the Manga just know when he does, there will no longer be reactions where he is throwing chairs on TVs and breaking controllers.

Jackx

bruh...what. them auras fire!

Potato

i dont really care if khan reads the manga or not. but he definitely can get as hyped as that even by just reading the manga. also breaking shit doesnt necessarily mean more entertaining reaction

Black Hill

I love every manga in color(especially HxH) except for JoJo.

Black Hill

Sucks to see the writing get torn to shreds for Khan because he follows a fan service version of the series. The anime NEEDS to find a new gimmick other than auras before the arc ends.

Diced Pineapples

I'm an anime-only and I do not get the criticism at all. The Orochi take is bizarre to me because I felt the manner of his death was a dead giveaway to his revival that is the myth that follows hydra anywhere it is mentioned but I will just put that down to him not watching anything else where hydras are mentioned or not viewing Orochi's DF as a hydra. The Zoro thing was odd to me as well because to me it did what the manga did but had to account for character reactions which means "spreading a second". Like if they made it the second like in the manga we would be wondering how did they all escape? I do think it was a reaction frame or two too long but not what khans making it out to be. I feel there are so many other things to criticize about the anime but these were just weird things to elicit such a reaction in my opinion.Still a fan , been here for too long not to be (ippo days)he can't do much to change that . But he swaps to manga im out for obvious reasons but it will suck because even with his other anime I couldn't watch because he makes references to scenes at times.

Ray

He can get really hyped but it wont be near the level of anime. One thing about Khan is, moments are super amplified for him when he hears good voice acting and soundtracks. He would be reacting normally then when a soundtrack starts he starts giggling in excitement. And if the complaint is about pacing ik its not but khan literally takes longer than the episode to read a chapter

Ray

Whats the issue with auras i dont understand, its just more visual effects to amplify the moment. Khans complaint was sayin the aura makes it look like the attack is way stronger than the manga but literally thats an all out swing from them in the manga too it shouldnt change much.

tommieS

The final arc isn't comming, it's the final saga, that will have a few arcs.

Tryol

Colored manga doesn't exist for where he is at yet, it's multiple years behind the monochrome one. Although I think One Piece is one of the few manga that looks better colored.

Pedro A.

This one I think Khan exaggerated, the anime did exactly what it had in the manga, as it is anime it seems "longer" but it's the same. Regarding the aura, it makes sense to put it in since they introduced Ryo, to show the characters moving the haki where they want it.

Ubergamer

There are many reasons of why i mainly read the manga but also watch highlights from the anime of my favorite moments in the manga. The anime is a weekly show which is in a format of 20+ mins per episode which is why they add fillers and stretch some of the content per episode. If they would've done it exactly like the manga, the episodes would be much shorter which would not work for their schedule and also they must be kept in a certain amount of episodes [chapters] behind the manga so won't go through the "Naruto" [there are more examples besides "Naruto" of course] scenario with "One Piece" which is why sometimes they use 2 episodes to complete one manga chapter. Sometimes the fillers works and sometimes they don't. UK, you can do that in this way instead, in my way you will stay up to date with One Piece [by reading the manga] and also enjoy your fav moments from the manga animated in anime form.

Ameer

If you look at the link I posted in my comment you can see that there is colored manga including the latest chapter of wano.

ProphetX

Nothing better than seeing your passion for OP

Created_4Games

I read the manga and watch the anime, its like 2x one piece in a week, cuz there is so much time in between those two, when the anime episodes comes out u can't remember any details from the manga, in a way u can relive it again and thats awesome. And to see the best moments again, good animated is pure gold.

Danny D. Legend

who ever added Orochi at the end is funny lol
