Hello patrons! I've been wanting to shed a little insight into some more behind-the-scenes happenings, AKA all the work that doesn't end up as a neat little drawing... by making a neat little drawing of it. :^)

First of all, just wanted to give a massive thanks and a big wet smooch to all of you for making the release of The Common Grounds a huge success!!! Between sales at Furry Siesta, Anthrocon, Phoenix Comics & Games, shipping books to distributors, and sales in my online store, I've already shipped out around 750 books!! That's insane!!

300 of those 750 books were sold in my online store, and as one might imagine, they aren't gonna pack themselves! The process of inspecting & signing each book, slipping them into a protective sleeve, purchasing a shipping label, and then boxing them up for every individual order, satisfying as it might be for me, has proven to be awfully time & energy-consuming! I love the more hands-on physical work, but it often leaves me a little too drained to work on more fully-rendered art, and worried that this Patreon has been looking & feeling a little quieter than usual...

So this here is what I've been up to! Spending most if not all of my Mondays sitting in my room, boxing up books for the folks kind & generous enough to pick one up! And just as the sense as satisfaction has begun to curdle into tedium, I am thankfully offered a week off as I wait on my printers for a book restock. Talk about good timing! Hopefully this means less loose doodles and sketches and more completed pieces over the next couple weeks! ^_^

Oh I have every shipping gizmo and gadget I could ever need, as well as the helping hands of some friends! It just takes a whole lot of time no matter how you spin it :^)

ZenoCoyote

I’m willing to help too!

fulfillment is SO MUCH work and I feel for you! My fingers get so sore at the end of a long shipping session, but moreso, my eyes get so tired from switching from screen to package back to screen to package aaaAAAAA

Tautology
